The hotel is amazing : it is super beautiful, the staff is very kind, they even proposed us a late check out to match our flight back, there is a free shuttle to the center if you don’t want to go by walking that also pick you up. Stunning! Beautiful architecture, totally relaxing on the Mekong and lovely friendly people. An absolute gem! Really need at least 3 to 4 days to cover all attractions but perhaps much longer if you really want to chill!

There is plenty of things to see and do for all different...
There is plenty of things to see and do for all different types of travellers. We enjoyed excursions as much as we enjoyed wandering the town or just sitting, having a drink and watching the world go by.
Learning the rich history and culture of the local Laotians both, city and country was engaging and interesting.
Can recommend Living Land Farm experience - this was a great way to spend a morning and your excursion costs goes towards a great cause.
Sa Sa Sunset Dinner cruise is a must - don't just get the free cocktail - try the food - it is amazing.
The food in Luang Prubang is epic. One of our favourite food journeys
The people are friendly, kind and warm - not pushy at all.

I loved Luang Prabang, you can stay there a good 4-5 days and see quite some things. I had a nice feeling in the city and experienced nice things there, the museum, the temples and the highlight of it all the Waterfalls where you can swim in! very very nice jungle feeling and the water was so nice and refreshing and clean, totally recommend staying in Luang Prabang.

Great town.
Great town. Main Street is wonderful, lots of restaurants and shops. Temples are all very close to the Main Street. Mount Phousi is in the heart of the town. Easy access to the beautiful Kuang Si Waterfalls and Pak Ou caves. Old town feeling at night when all places are lit up. The Alms giving ceremony in the mornings is beautiful.

The stay was nice, old town is a nice place to stroll and get a great massage at a very, very cheap price. Old french architecture everywhere made the main street romantic to roam about. Night market happens each night in the old town main street. The water fall is a main feature to go and see but the water levels change throughout the year so some months are better to view than others. Alms giving each morning is also a good experience, also on the old town main street. You'll want to stay near the old town. We felt that two days was enough.

Very nice city with a town spirit. Burning season was hot but very good regarding air pollution and sight views, not crowded at all with great prices opportunities. Sunsets here are wonderful in any place and it´s ideal to walk to every place. Many free temples with monks living in them and markets very active with the best food. Chill mood but at the same time people from all over the world interacting with locals.
We absolutely loved our 3 night stay at Hillside. The location is stunning and feels remote but is just a 35 minute taxi ride from the centre of Luang Prabang. The 6km of unmade road might put some people off but for us this added to the 'get away from it all' experience. Holger and his wife have created a beautiful and welcoming boutique hotel experience, with great food, lovely rooms with balconies and a garden oasis we didn't want to leave.
This is one of the best places we ever stayed in. Booked 3 days, ended up staying for 11. The staff is without doubt word class and makes this hotel very special. The places is beautiful. We felt like it was home away from home and that we were surrounded by friends. 5 star experience!
Easy to bike to town or to use the shuttle service and very quiet in the evening. Luang Prabang is also amazing so We hope to come back!
