Nothing fancy and was fine for one night. The breakfast was okay. The price was very affordable and the location was convenient. Plenty of parking which is a plus. No English speaking staff but we speak a little Russian so we managed and the receptionist was patient that we didn’t speak Russian well.

Karagandy has plenty of interesting sites, especially for those interested in history. On this trip, I rented a car and drove to Karkaraly National Park, which is very beautiful; I hope to go back, but I will find a guide, as there are no trail markings anywhere!

Best to go when there is no snow.
Best to go when there is no snow. Get a taxi to the Karlag/gulag museum that is just outside of town. You can also book an English tour guide for that museum to learn more. The city's central park is nice and there are many good restaurants in the city. An easy weekend trip in Kazakhstan from Astana.
I liked how comfortable it was. Rimir and his wife were so helpful when I got lost in the city. As a tourist from the West fascinated with the former USSR staying in a Krushchevka in a city with a strong Soviet Heritage was a real novelty and it has been fun telling my friends about that. Rimir helped me get to Karlag which is a very sobering and educational experience. In summary my hosts did everything they could to ensure I got the most out of my short stay in Karaganda.
The location is great and next to the Central Park and close to the center. The Hotel is almost boutique and ecclectic in style. Rooms are huge and with interesting decor. The whole atmoshere of the hotel is very different from staying in standard hotels which makes it an interesting place to stay.
The restaurant is outsourced to an independent management but for breakfast hotel guests get a discount. The food, service and decor are very pleasant.
The facilities are in very good conditions. The staff, even very young, all are very helpful.
Also, it the third time in the last 5 months staying in this hotel and I appreciate very much the management openness to offer me free early check in , after a long flight overnight. I will come back in March next year and I hope to find the same courtesy for a loyal customer.
I did not expect much from the hotel given the price. It is just a place you can stay at if you have very limited finances. The stay was absolutely safe, the staff is helpful, and I mean it - the administrator was happy to help me when my cards failed to work and I needed to bu tickets, so she offered to use her card!
It's dirt cheap and worth every penny
Location of the hotel - near to the park. Good facilities. Amazing restaurant next to the hotel named ZUMA (horse meat is great). Good cleanliness. Another nice restaurant near to lobby (Solianka is amazing). Bar has good cappuccino coffee and cold beer (loco and German). It's well know hotel so everybody (taxi drivers) know where it's located.
Situated in the center of Karaganda, only a few minutes walk to the shopping mile, restaurants and the central park. To the train station, it's around 20 mins walk. There is a fridge, cooking possibility and even a washing machine in the apartment.
And especially to mention the very nice host Svetlana! Thank you for the nice time!
clean rooms, sheets, and overall hotel facilities. Very accommodating staff. Nice breakfast. Location was OK - a bit far from the center, but that made it super quiet. even though hotel is being positioned as Halal, the Muslim symbolism and practices were very unassuming and tasteful.
The hotel is in a great location. Their reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The whole ambiance of the hotel is lovely (Art Deco themed). Our bedrooms (we had 3 different ones) were very clean and roomy. We hope we can stay there again!
I stayed in this hotel just for one night and booked it just to have some place to sleep. But anyways the hotel was good, staff was friendly and general impression was great.
Quite a high-quality hotel, worth the money, the overall impression is good, the staff is friendly, the breakfast was quite good and varied in content.
