Beach House Cambodia, hotel in Koh Rong Sanloem

Located in Koh Rong Sanloem, just a few steps from M’Pai Bay Beach, Beach House Cambodia provides beachfront accommodation with a private beach area, water sports facilities, a garden and free WiFi.

We had an awesome stay at Beach House Cambodia. Gavin, the manager was absolutely fantastic. No request was too difficult, and daily meals and activities were offered to guests, including an awesome kayak tour where we saw some great snorkelling and secluded swimming sports. Day trips were easy to organise. The common room was an awesome spot to relax, and the free kayak and snorkel hire was so handy. The best part of our stay, was that it was my partner’s birthday, and Gavin organised an incredible meal for us, catering to her dietary requirements. This was such a great night, it is something we will never forget. Absolutely stay at Beach House, it is an awesome spot in an incredible location.

Bamboo Jam, hotel in Koh Rong Sanloem

Bamboo Jam is offering accommodation in Koh Rong Sanloem. Among the various facilities of this property are a private beach area and a garden. The accommodation offers room service and free WiFi.

The bed is literally 20m away from the sea, it’s just perfect to wake up and go for a swim. The bungalows are very cute and pretty. The breakfast and food overall was delicious with lots of vegeterian (but yummy!) options. Prices also super reasonable with nice atmosphere at night with the torchs and chill music. We barely ate in other places and I can tell it’s really the best place to stay in Saracen bay if you want an authentic experience full of charm.

Nice for walks. nice bays, beaches.

Nice for walks. nice bays, beaches. The nicest beach and resort i think is lazy beach I think. It is more remote very much built into the jungle and layed back , snorkling available - good corals if the water is clear apparently. You can walk from there accross to the main beach: Saracene bay, not far.

Prior to travelling to Sanloem I read online that there are no roads on the island and was therefore quite shocked to see the massive, wide, bulldozed dirt roads that had been carved into the island's untouched jungle. Upon investigating the matter, we found out that a Chinese owned company has rented half of the island from Cambodian government and is planning on building big hotels and casinos around the island. So, what you saw during your visit year ago is totally different from this year. I dread to think what the island will looklike in 5-10 years time.

Long Time Visitors to Koh Rong Sanloem.

Long Time Visitors to Koh Rong Sanloem. Stayed at Lazy Baech for many years when it was only accommodation on Island and Saracen Bay was development free and a 25min walk through Jungle. Now they have cleared a 4 lane road through the Jungle from Saracen Bay to Lazy Beach. Just stayed at M'pai bay for first time and it my new favorite location in Koh Rong Sanloem. Nice village feel in nice bay with a fantastic main beach around the headland that is not developed. Lots of great Food and Drink options and allround friendly owners.

Nice and quiet island, small enough to cover the main sights...

Nice and quiet island, small enough to cover the main sights on foot. We loved lazy beach but weren't so impressed by Saracen bay. This is mainly because of the amount of rubbish in the water/sand but I guess it depends on the currents/wind. The island itself has very basic facilities and reduce accessibility, I don't think it would be suitable to someone on a wheelchair or using crutches.

This is a great place to relax and sit around on the beach, plenty of activities if you want but we just relaxed. We ate at Saracen Bay Resort most of the time, great food and very reasonably priced, seemed to be cheaper than other places along the beach.

Excellent location right in the middle of the bay where there is a line of hotels with tables in the sand on the beach in the evening. The beach in this area is also kept nice and tidy, while elsewhere there are a lot of abandoned places after covid, and rubbish laying around. Very large and clean room and bathroom with a nice sitting area outside with a table and chairs. Tips: 1) If you intend to walk to or from the pier, try to arrive and leave during low tide! 2) do NOT miss out on seeing the stone carvings near Lazy beach.

We really enjoyed to stay at Sunny Bungalows. Located next to the pier, it is a very good starting point to remote places and beaches of the island. In 10-15 minutes you reach almost every restaurant on the main beach (Saracen Bay). The staff was corteous, always available and very very friendly. It is managed by two young couples, that are putting a lot of effort into it to get it running again (after/during Covid). Another big plus was the unlimited refill of drinking water (25l bottle on the terrace of each bungalow).

The resort is located by the lagoon a 10-45 min walk from the other hotels on the main beach, which gave the resort a peaceful touch. There is a nice little private stretch of beach just outside the hotel with a pier where you amazingly could be completely alone for the most part! The staff was helpful, easy-going and flexible. The cabins were charming and very close to the lagoon. There was no AC but a pretty quite ceiling fan in the middle of the room just above the beds that did the job will enough in march.

Lovely hotel in middle of Saracen Bay. Beautiful beach outside, great for swimming and lounging. Nice restaurant - good food with a friendly atmosphere. Room was clean, quiet, very good air con. Comparable size to elsewhere on island! Great location. Short walk to bars, mini-mart etc and to start of paths to Lazy beach and Sunset beach. Helpful staff - booked massages, arranged pickup from and drop-off to main pier and helped confirm our ferry for departure.

You will not find anywhere else where you’re made to feel so welcome, so looked after, and so pampered. We’ve travelled all over the world and honestly this was some of the best experiences in hospitality and attention to detail we’ve come across. A superb team in an absolutely stunning sea front setting. We stayed at each of the different accommodations along Sunset Beach and this absolutely kicked ass of the others. Hands down the winner. Highly recommended.

This hotel is an amazing Cambodian ran resort. It's in a great location on Saracen Bay, staff were very accommodating and helped us with our bags to and from the boat. Hotel is located right at the foot of the pier which the boats to and from the other islands and Sihanoukville use. Pool area was great for chilling around plus the pool itself was nice and refreshing. They also had free books/book swap you could enjoy whilst there.

Location, location! The beach was immediately in front of the bungalow and the water temperature perfect for swimming. Here you are protected from the devopment occuring elsewhere on the island. Saracen Bay, Lazy Beach, Sunset Beach and the lighthouse were all in hiking distance, or you could hire a boat to Saracen and walk from there. The staff were friendly, and overall we felt it was good value for the price.

The property is very nicely located on the remote Sunset Beach of Koh Rong Sanloem and offers a lovely beach bar with a beautiful sea view. There is nice food available at the accommodation (especially the Lok Lake;)). The staff is very friendly and helpful. Thank you very much again for including us in the Khmer New Year festivities! A perfect place for travelers who seek a remote place to relax.

The hotel is absolutely stunning, very well decorated and with all amenities to disconnect for a few days. The location is perfect and it makes you feel that there is almost no one in the island and you are alone in paradise. Staff were super nice and helpful, even picking us up and dropping us off at the pier. Rooms have amazing views and the bathroom is absolutely out of this world.

Pretty island and vibe of Bamboo Jam was fun and hippie and groovy. Powdered sugar sand. Staff was friendly. I can tell they are really trying to create a nice atmosphere and a lot I did not care for was not necessarily their “fault.” But want to leave my personal review just in case it will help someone else make more informed decision.

The Cambodian staff was really nice, the room was very small, the price of water is really expensive compared to the water prices on the rest of the island, there is also no option to refill bottles, we wanted to stay more than a week, we changed hotels after 4 days, the wifi in the room was really bad, no value for the expensive price

Fabulous location, wonderful friendly staff, nothing was too difficult. Excellent breakfast. Best place in Samloem for a family, with large bungalows sleeping 4 or 5 easily. Was a bit of a walk to the main restaurants, but this was not a bad thing as it kept us away from the late night booyah
