The room is very large and comfortable. They provide drinking water and toiletries. There's a TV but I didn't watch it so can't comment on the availability of channels. There's plenty of restaurants for good food, shops and atms nearby. The hotel is a 1 minute walk to the bus offices. The tuk tuk driver who offers tours here is great and is very reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly.

Battambang has changed a lot since I've been here way back in 2018. There's a beautiful promenade that is inviting for walking, jogging or strolling. There's also a spanking new road that leads to the city from Phnom Penh. Never experienced any bumps along the road.

A relatively untouched area of Cambodia, still retaining colonial charm. It lives in the past to some degree, and is the antithesis to the mish mash of Phnom Penh development. The riverside is still the place to stroll or even exercise, and the surrounding countryside is lovely, with nice views from some of the higher locations. I ate at the homes of Khmer friends, and we had driven up from PP, so getting around was as easy/difficult as any journey on overcrowded Cambodian roads!

Not one of the top travel spots yet.

Not one of the top travel spots yet. Battambang town doesn't stand out as anything special compared to other places in Cambodia. It doesn't really have anything special, and is very dusty all around. However, it is ideal for a day trip (max 2 nights) from Siem Reap if you have time. There are unique experiences that are on the outskirts of town : 1/ Bamboo Train (touristy but still good enough. especially if you can manage to beat the tourist vans in the morning, then it's just you on the train (train ride is about 15 mins each way) 2/ Killing Caves (get there at about 4-430pm, stay for about 30 mins) 3/Bat cave (super cool experience, stay there only for about 30 mins max in the evening

Gave a good feeling of real-life in Cambodia, away from the tourist crowds. The town has a fine old french colonade along the river. Very beautiful. The local market is worth a visit. Highly interesting are the temples in the surroundings, ex the Banan temple. A visit to some of the commemoration sites also outside the town showing the cruelty of the Khmer Rouge in the nineteen seventies, is a must not to forget what happended.

Good location, 15-20 minute walk into town and less than 10 to the night market. Spacious and clean room with bottle of water. Fan was fine despite hot temperature too! The thing we loved the most and what makes this place great value for money is the friendly and helpful host! They assisted us with any activities and sightseeing, gave us recommendations and we learnt a lot about life in Cambodia too! Highly recommend to anyone staying in Battambang, particularly on a budget. Also we recommend a tuk tuk tour with Sophran too. :)

Location was great, the staff was outstanding, beds were great and we slept amazing both nights. The service is what stood out to us the most. From the minute we arrived we were greeted and booked a full day tour with an excellent tuk tuk driver (KaKa) who loved to share his culture and we exchanged ours. The hotel also booked our mini bus for us to PP and when we were out getting coffee before our pick up… they ran over to make sure we got on. Very committed to their guests !!

Great hotel for our short stay in Battambang. The staff was very friendly and thoughtful even though their english was limited. we were greeted with nice sweet pineapples when we checked in! the room is super clean (despite what some comments said…) and functional, and the bathroom was big and spacious (+ hot water if that’s important for you) We were given the opportunity to leave our bags at the reception after check out which was very convenient!

With its very rich wooden architecture this hotel was in the perfect location for New Year’s Eve, as Battambang’s NYE party and fireworks was right outside. The rooftop restaurant is spectacular with a 360 degree view all over the city. My Tuk Tuk driver took me on a personal tour each day to see for example how sticky rice and rice wine was made. Fabulous breakfast options and you can eat by the pool! The staff are very friendly and helpful. 10/10.

Best homestay in Cambodia so far! Hospitality and friendliness of Esaro family couldn’t be overestimated. Even though I have came really late and without contacting Esaro about my arrival time I was warmly welcomed. The homestay is close to the bat cave mountain and other attractions. Esaro also offers trips to more distant locations such as Banan Temple. But be aware it is not a “five-star luxury hotel” and it is more on countryside.

The hotel was exceptional. The room was large and comfortable. The staff were polite, friendly and really helpful. The overnight bus to Battambang arrived 3 hours early and we found ourselves with nowhere to go at 2.30am but the staff didn't mind us turning up at this time and even helped us book an extra night so we could sleep for a bit too. The breakfast was excellent and the location was just across the river from the town centre.

If you go to Battambang make sure to book your stay with Bun and also do a TukTuk daytrip with him! The full day tour was THE highligh of my stay in Cambodia - we learnd so much about the daily life while also getting to see the main attractions. His beautiful Guesthouse is a little outside of town (10-12min walk), but he offers bicycles and will organize transport to and from the busstation. The stay was very enjoyable!

This is a small charming hotel with lush gardens. Rooms are individual bungalows with small outdoor spaces. If you are looking for a quiet hotel with friendly staff and a good restaurant, you will like this place. However, don't expect the wifi to work well in the rooms or for a fancy bathrooms. The rooms are very basic and rustic. The best part of this hotel is the friendly staff and the lush gardens.

Beautiful little hotel in Battambang, all feels quite new and the pool is nice and luxurious. We tried a hostel but it was just too loud and had no regrets treating ourselves here (we're a couple). Good hotel food if you want, or a short walk from the river which has good street food cafes if you're feeling adventurous.
