I liked the location because it's mostly quiet and there's no traffic noise. The rooms are also a good size when there's more than one of you. The staff are very helpful. Their site driver guide, Boren, is very, very good. Ask for him to go to places.

The room is very large and comfortable. They provide drinking water and toiletries. There's a TV but I didn't watch it so can't comment on the availability of channels. There's plenty of restaurants for good food, shops and atms nearby. The hotel is a 1 minute walk to the bus offices. The tuk tuk driver who offers tours here is great and is very reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly.

The interior design was very impressive, with authentic Khmer furniture. The AC was strong and the extra fan helped the ventilation. Water temperature was pleasant. And they have 2 very cute small dogs.

Central location, friendly staff, pool and value for money
You can't help but love Battambang. Battambang is underrated as a tourist destination. Travelled by train to Phnom Penh which was straight forward and very insightful. Enjoyed everything from the circus, the bat caves, the fruit farms, the bamboo train, the people. No remorks were available on Grab but really would have been welcome_ saw very few of them in the city centre.
In a house that’s over one hundred years old, we met the humanitarian photographer Joseba Extebarria who presented some of his best portraits from around the world and constructed the “HUMAN Gallery.” Furthermore, twenty percent of the proceeds go directly to the “Wings for the Future” project, supporting the education of children in the nearby town of O’mal. An amazing chap! Well worth the visit.
The only problem in the wet season is that shops shut up between 8pm and 9pm that's if they even open!

It's an ideal spot to stop by on your way to Bangkok from Siem Reap (or the other way around). The city is calm enough, albeit really cute, and you'll have some must-seen places all around if you're up for a hike or a visit in your afternoons.

We found Battambang to be very friendly and could have spent a few more days here happily. The markets are lovely, there are many excellent cafes with perfect coffee (the Lonely Tree and Heart Coffee), the atmosphere in the town centre is very enjoyable. We loved the trio of tourist attractions: bamboo train, batcave and Phnom Sampou. This was a perfect place to unwind after arriving in Phnom Penh a few days prior!

Battambang has changed a lot since I've been here way back in 2018. There's a beautiful promenade that is inviting for walking, jogging or strolling. There's also a spanking new road that leads to the city from Phnom Penh. Never experienced any bumps along the road.

A relatively untouched area of Cambodia, still retaining colonial charm. It lives in the past to some degree, and is the antithesis to the mish mash of Phnom Penh development.
The riverside is still the place to stroll or even exercise, and the surrounding countryside is lovely, with nice views from some of the higher locations.
I ate at the homes of Khmer friends, and we had driven up from PP, so getting around was as easy/difficult as any journey on overcrowded Cambodian roads!

Not one of the top travel spots yet.
Not one of the top travel spots yet. Battambang town doesn't stand out as anything special compared to other places in Cambodia. It doesn't really have anything special, and is very dusty all around.
However, it is ideal for a day trip (max 2 nights) from Siem Reap if you have time.
There are unique experiences that are on the outskirts of town :
1/ Bamboo Train (touristy but still good enough. especially if you can manage to beat the tourist vans in the morning, then it's just you on the train (train ride is about 15 mins each way)
2/ Killing Caves (get there at about 4-430pm, stay for about 30 mins)
3/Bat cave (super cool experience, stay there only for about 30 mins max in the evening
The rooms are big and very comfortable with clean private bathrooms. The pool is fantastic and the menu/bar is great, you get a good serving of food for reasonable price. We stayed with our 3 small dogs and the staff were really nice, sometimes we have problems but not at the Blue Diamond. Highly recommend this hotel in Battambang.
Perfect location in the center, 90s vibe hotel, super friendly staff. We absolutely recommend a tuk-tuk tour and for you to ask for Jay as your driver, he is an amazing and very good English-speaking guide who brings you to beautiful remote places and teaches you a lot about Cambodian history!
All the people in the staff are super kind and helpful, my best hosts in Cambodia :)
They gave me a lot of advices about Battambang and what to do.
The room was large, clean, with AC & hot water.
The free bicycle for 2/3 hours.
The loc lac I had was tasty also.
Staff really nice and welcoming, big room, hotel quite new, comfortable bed, good breakfast (no buffet, there is a menu where you can choose among different Cambodian and international options)
the beautiful rooms and garden with the pond, the food, the service, the pool, the owners are very attentive and helpful. it is clearly the best hotel in Battambang.
