Being both Ramadhan and Easter weekend, we had different objectives for our stay. However, it is easier, and probably cheaper if in groups to travel by Tuk tuks (rickshaws) within and around the city.

I loved the tour of fort Jesus and the drive through Mombasa town. We had lunch at a place called char choma right on the beach front in Nyali, they have amazing barbecues. You definitely need a car to take you around Mombasa, anything less than that is not a good experience. Be careful with the locals, always ask the cost of their services before getting yourself involved. Google maps will be your best friend, it lets you know where the restaurants, shopping malls e.t.c are located.

Mombasa is HOT, and I love hot weather so it was fine for me. It is very peaceful, laid back place, and the people were very friendly. A simple NO to a street vendor was fine. We went to Nyali public beach, very nice.

Mombasa, a Kenyan metropolis, ensconced on the cusp of the...
Mombasa, a Kenyan metropolis, ensconced on the cusp of the Indian Ocean, proffered an experience both exhilarating and immersive. The city's historical tapestry, woven with threads of Portuguese, Arab, and British influences, manifested in its magnificent architecture, from the imposing Fort Jesus to the labyrinthine alleys of the Old Town.
My peregrinations led me through bustling marketplaces, where cacophonous haggling painted a vivid picture of the city's commercial heart. The vibrant hues of spices, the aromatic allure of freshly brewed Kenyan coffee, and the captivating calls of vendors all coalesced into an intoxicating sensory experience.
Beyond the urban hum, the pristine beaches beckoned, their silken sands fringed by turquoise waters. Indulging in the aquatic embrace of the Indian Ocean, I found solace in the rhythmic caress of the waves and the mesmerizing spectacle of the sun dipping below the horizon, casting an incandescent ember across the sky.
Mombasa's culinary scene tantalized my taste buds with an explosion of flavors. From the delicate nuances of Swahili cuisine to the fiery depths of Ethiopian stews, each meal was a revelation, a testament to the city's rich cultural heritage.
Departing Mombasa, I carried with me an indelible mosaic of memories – a kaleidoscope of sights, sounds, and flavors that forever etched this captivating coastal haven in my mind's eye.
It is so much bigger than it looks on the photos. three rooms and each has a bathroom, plus an additional toilet in the living room. Three balconies! It‘s amazing! The staff was also amazing, friendly and helpful. It was possible to book an additional chef for us! She was amazing! especially because she cooked for us typically Kenyan food as vegetarian options! It was amazing for a working holiday! Plus the beach and shopping facilities are very close!
Great location, walking distance from the Nyali City Mall.
There is a great sea breeze in the living room balcony in the afternoon.
Excellent fast WiFi.
After several flops with hot water in other places, I had a nice hot shower in this place.
There is an equipped kitchen there, so I could prepare my own dinner and breakfast (I am diabetic, so "hotel style" breakfasts all the time are problematic for me)
The staff was very helpful.
The staff were very cordial and respectful. Settling and checking in were done very smoothly. Staff were friendly and jovial. Harriet and Pamela you guys made our stay radiant. the room service was excellent and our orders did not take unnecessarily long.
Though the hotel did not have a beach front, it's within the vicinity two good beaches i.e. the Mombasa Beach and Pirates Beach.
Thanks also for allowing us a late check out.
Hotel buildings, style, and decor are amazing, and gardens are perfectly manicured. Rooms are very nice and the beds are very comfortable. The best asset of the hotel is its staff, starting from reception to restaurants to maintenance and sports activities. A special gratitude to ALEX, EUGINE, JASON MOHAMED, and ROSEMARY. You made us feel very special! We would live to come back again!
Nice relaxing hotel a short walk away from the old town. Big rooms, good AC, a lot of charging points, which is great. Attentive and friendly staff, provided free water. The attached restaurant served good food till late. Mini fridge in the room as well. Highly recommended for a stay in Mombasa. The area felt reasonably safe, I walked back at 7 pm as well without feeling threatened.
The apartments exceeded my expectations, clean, spacious, accessible to beaches, quiet.kitchen utensils, bathroom, bed, wifi all exceptional, upon check inn they sent password for wifi and not forgetting Mr IAN MUTETHYA you are a great guy, always calling to confirm if client is happy, thanks man am coming back soon,to the 50million Kenyans out there Oceanic apartments the place to be
Very well-located hotel with nice views and a pleasant breeze coming in from the river. While it's not on the main island of Mombasa itself, then it's one of the closest of the fancier "resorts", right next to the bridge. Fairly easy to get around, either to the old town or beaches, using the local taxies and tuk-tuks (apps like Bolt and Uber come in handy for this).
This hotel has great staff, and the view over the creek is lovely. It was nice to have food on site but more variety would be nice. Nice that there is a gym and a pool!
The best part is the people working there! They’re super friendly, helpful and attentive. They gave great recommendations for things to do in and near Mombasa. Overall was a great stay!
They were extremely accommodating and allowed me to check in early at like 4.30am since my SGR Train arrived at 3.30am.They also organized for my taxi from the train station. The rooms were clean, very comfortable and only 10 min drive to the beach. I highly recommend this apartments for anyone visiting Mombasa.
Staff was really helpful and we had a great conversations each time I needed. Once I wanted to pick up a tuk-tuk from the street, they jump in and helped me to bargin and get the best price. Room was clean and had AC. There were no power shortages as we experienced other days in Diani Beach.
Very clean place in a nice neighbourhood in Nyali next to the market, close to the beach. Great showers. But the nicest thing was the host who gave us great tips for our stay in Nyali, and even for our further trip around Kenya! He helped out a lot!
The hotel has nice garden and two swimming pools. The outside facilities are really nice. The border between the hotel territory and the public beach is fenced and protected. Catering a la card was good, just prepartion of food took a lot of time.
The hotel is very basic, but exactly what you need to serve the purpose of just stopping over in Mombasa.
Comfy bed, spacious room and they have a restaurant (not the best for vegetarians but was fine). Very friendly and accommodating staff!
All staff trying to go extra mile to make you comfortable. Everything is new and fresh. You can feel big difference between this any older hotels in Mombasa. I tried different restaurants in Mombasa. The best food quality was here.
A luxurious and relaxing beachfront resort in Mombasa. The resort’s beautiful beach, stunning rooms, and excellent dining options make it an ideal destination for couples, families, and solo travelers.
