Numazu Club was well worth the drive to Numazu just to stay there. I would not think of it as a hotel, nor an onsen, but rather a getaway. The rooms were modern, minimalistic and no small detail was missed. Expect personal interactions with friendly and attentive staff, from being greeted at the gate (car) to being checked in privately in your room. In our case the manager checked us in, as well as coming to check on us and other guests during breakfast and dinner. The breakfast and dinner in the teahouse should not be missed. It was exquisitely prepared and a sensation for all senses, do note that it is Japanese and Chinese fusion. You will be welcomed by locally produced treats and drinks, and definitely ask for turn down service to experience more local products. Our open-air bath added to the already tranquil and quiet atmosphere and I could sit on the balcony soaking up the sun for hours. There is not that much to do around Numazu, but if you like feeling at peace you won’t leave the accommodation anyway. There is a fish market with multiple sushi restaurants less than a 15min walk away, which we enjoyed for lunch.

Very cool accomodation staying in the pods. Be careful what room you book if you have kids. The double story suites may be tricky with little ones. Beds are very comfortable and pods are warm! The food is AMAZING (see important note below!). There is also a delicious curry house about 15 minute walk away.
Staff are really helpful and very approachable. There are many toys and activities available to borrow and a grassy area to play on.we also took advantage of the beautiful nature walks around the accomodation. They also have a lovely gift shop with local wares.
We enjoyed roasting marshmallows after dinner.
The Sanco Inn Numazu Ekimae features rooms with free Wi-Fi. It offers a free-use internet PC at the lobby, while facilities include drinks vending machines.

Generally speaking a genuinely great experience, with the location right in the centre of amazing Numazu, and if you are lucky you get a stunning view of either the ocean or Mt Fuji from your room. There are plenty of additional facilities available (but not an onsen bath, mind you) should you be interested, and the town of Numazu itself is something of a hidden gem that I can strongly recommend (it has the longest beach in all of Japan - walking distance from the hotel - from which you can see the sun set over Mt Fuji on a not-too-rainy day, which is an amazing view; plus a very cosy old market street - right next to the hotel, I might add). Parking is also available in the basement at a reasonable price. It seems they have also recently renovated the interior of the rooms, which used to be ever so slightly shabby (but not anymore). Breakfast buffet also worth the cost.
Only a 3-minute walk from JR Numazu Train Station, Numazu Grand Hotel offers simple Western-style accommodations. It provides video-on-demand TVs for free.

An amazing little town on the Pacific coast, with a bustling market street, beautiful parks and rivers, and apparently also famed in some anime circles. It also has the longest (and possibly the most beautiful) beach in all of Japan, and one of the best spots to watch the sun set over Mt Fuji (if you are lucky with the weather). The best day, in my honest opinion, is a day in summer or early autumn, just after it has rained (or between showers), when the sun comes forth in a spectacular fashion, and you have the setting sun, Mt Fuji with just a little bit of clouds around it, the Japanese Alps on one side, the Pacific on the other, and majestic rainclouds everywhere else. That is a spectacular view that you have to see, and that mere words cannot justify. In order to do so, then come to Numazu, and Senbon Beach! Also great place for couples (and just friends)!

A little jewel right between Mt Fuji and the pacific.
A little jewel right between Mt Fuji and the pacific. Still quite popular with fans of a certain anime, but I would argue that the town is a lot better than that. Friendly people, cosy neighbourhoods, lively market streets, and a beach that is not only the longest in Japan, but perhaps also the most beautiful. In one view, you can see the pacific, the Japanese alps and Mt Fuji. Add a sunset over the mountains, and you have the view of a lifetime (see photo of a decent example). You can get the train to Numazu, or the Shinkansen to nearby Mishima, and from Numazu you are 1h to Mt Fuji or any of the five lakes, or 30 mins to the onsens of Izu.

We stopped by Numazu to check out the Numazu Deep Sea Aquarium. It was pretty interesting, and there seemed to be a lot of nearby fish markets/seafood stores. There was also a lot of "Love Live! Sunshine" stuff in general around the area, so good for fans of the series.

The views of Mount Fuji were unbeatable, however, it is a track if you are coming from Tokyo city, just plan well and make sure you work out the different connections. Also if you are coming from Tokyo city and stopping at Mishima, do allocate a bit of time there as there is loads to see, do and eat at Mishima.
Once you get to Numazu, if you are like us seeking just relaxation, you probably just end up staying at your Onsen.
Perfect location for my partner's golf day with Galloway Golf Group KK. Hotel is next to the north exit of Numazu station which is the beginning of the Gotemba line. Many convenience store options on the doorstep with a large supermarket in the basement of the small shopping centre near the South exit of the station.
Room itself was clean and comfortable, hotel staff were very friendly, with English speaking reception staff available. We were able to store our luggage for the day after checking out.
We have booked two nights in Numazu, because it was cheap and it was easier to do one day trip from here (Kawaguchiko, Kawazu waterfalls, Hakone). It has a 24/7 reception, which was very important to us as we arrived little bit after midnight. The staff is super friendly and helpful and the anemities are excellent. Coffee for free available at the reception, there was also a shelf with hygiene stuff (hair rubber bands, shavers, hairbrushes, ear picks etc). There is a possibility of brekfast.
I was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel! I booked it as a Love Live fan since I saw there were a lot of Aqours goodies displayed prominently. I think that the staff was amazing, the location was very good, and the rooms were nice. They had free laundry services too which was very helpful. The hotel is only a six-minute walk from Numazu Station which made it super easy to take the bus or train around town! I would definitely stay here again.
The staff at Awashima are absolutely amazing it was truly a 5 star experience. Being able to have exclusive all day access to the island was quite the adventure. The hotel was in excellent condition even though it still has a retro look which I think gave it more charm.
Free breakfast, nice staff, great location. Many local restaurants nearby. Short walk to station. Comfy bed and large bathtub. Can even see part of mt. fuji
Room is very clean and the bathroom is clean. Has elevated parking lot and charged 800 JYP per day.
eventhough the room size is as small as other hotels in Japan, but the bed size and TV size has exceeded my expectation. plus point - a small working table next to the bed is very useful.
Great hotel in a peaceful, cheerful environment. If you want to wind down after busy days in big cities, this is the place to go. Very friendly staff, the coffee is also great.
Very nice hotel. Rooms were very comfortable and good size. Staff is very nice and helpful.
Loved the coffee drip that you could bring to your room to make real coffee.
Huge space in guest room when compare to hotels in Tokyo. You may choose between grilled mackerel as local style or Western style (egg, ham and sausage) for breakfast.
it is very simple and modern hotel which is often seen as the B&B hotel in Europe. the room is very silent and cosy accommodation.
