My favourite hotel ive stayed in honestly- so so clean lovely, the receptionist used a tablet with a split screen translator so there was no issue with communication, great location right next to Gojo station- became my little home while i stayed in kyoto, ありがとうございました.

The property was very new, clean and well equipped. V comfortable futons and bench/sofa in upstairs area. A bus stop is outside and a small convenience store just up the road. Contact from owner was good. It’s worth noting that this is two separate apartments in one house with separate internal keypads so if you are travelling with quite small kids it might not be ideal if you don’t want them alone downstairs. It does mean you get two bathrooms and two washing machines though!

A lovely traditional house, in a delightful neighbourhood. The location was within walking distance of Kyoto Station, Kiyomizu Gojo station, and several bus routes that made travelling around the city quite easy. The house was spacious and comfortable, even for the 9 of us staying, and had all amenities required. The check-in staff were fantastic and very helpful.

Extra long review to help those visiting Kyoto and to hopefully provide feedback to see if they listen and improve or if you have similar experiences. First off, check-in was unnecessarily difficult. All messages sent from the booking.com app were in Japanese and there are no easy ways to translate unless you cut and paste backwards and forwards in and out of the app. The app would then link to a website with more details. The tablet at reception didn’t seem to work. The response was always very quick and I was able to check-in early as my room was ready. Hopefully they will improve. If you are looking for the key box it is at knee/shin height. I walked backwards and forward many times until I looked down and found it. There are no elevators in the building, so ask for rooms 101-105 if you have luggage you don’t want to lug upstairs. There was no washing machine powder/capsules, which might have been a greedy guest, but there are oodles of other cleaning equipment. You can not turn of the light from the bed. My room on the first floor had a door behind the bed head (I guess it was built for a single bed) which was a little drafty in the morning. The blinds are very fancy, but do not block the light from outside if you like a dark room. There are two large cabinets in the room, but I used them to put my luggage on top so I didn’t need to bend down. These are not in the photos. All the equipment was well maintained. It was spotlessly clean (like everything in Japan) There are bicycle rental shops nearby. I strongly recommend riding in Kyoto if the weather permits. There is no clear place for parking a bicycle. No options for a car (who has a car in Kyoto)

Amazing location - The bus to & from Kyoto station stops right in front of the hotel, and the train & bus stops that run to main attractions e.g. Arashiyama & Kiyomizudera are just ~5mins walk away. Great amenities & facilities - Cold & hot water dispenser, iron, luggage storage Bed, duvet and pillow were really comfy it was hard to wake up in the morning 😂 Staff were excellent! Very fast responses, even replied my messages on Booking.com at midnight.

Location was excellent. Nice big king size bed. Pillows were alright. Shower was great. Nice to have a laundromat inside the hotel. Loved that the chairs had wheels under them, easy to move around. You can store your suitcases under the bed.
