A very unique experience. A bit like B&B in Europe. It is a very good way to see a real Japanese home.
Extremely quiet. Welcoming owners and as a former English teacher it's easy to ask questions and communicate.
Would come back for sure with family.
Rafting and wine tasting with 5 kilometres away.

I stayed at this hotel in 2022 when it was still under a different name. I'm glad I got to stay at the hotel before leaving Yamagata to move to another prefecture.
PRICE: The price I paid at that time was really reasonable considering that it included breakfast.
BREAKFAST: I really enjoyed the breakfast. It didn't seem like it but there were actually plenty of options every day. I loved that there was a "special dish" each day. I love imoni so I was happy when they served it. On another day, there was ochazuke.
LOCATION: The hotel is near Sakuranbo Higashine Station. Plenty of nearby local shops, an AEON Mall, a coin laundry, and convenience stores.
ROOM: The room was perfect for a solo traveler. It was a comfortable size. The room had a view of Higahsine city. Previously, the room had a view of Yamagata's mountains.
MATTRESS: The bed was quite firm. It's perfect for me because I like this kind of bed.
ROOM AMENITIES: The room had all the basic necessities: a big TV, a small fridge, a kettle, a small side table, and some other stuff like wooden hangers, a shoe horn, a flashlight, a pair of bedroom slippers. In the bathroom, you have the usual toothbrush and toothpaste, brush, razor, a hairdryer.
STAFF: The staff were kind but I'm not sure if they speak English. We understood each other through simple Japanese.
OTHER STUFF: Complimentary coffee at the ground floor. Laundry area at the ground floor, too.
