It was a traditional ryokan which was interesting! The tatami is very cool and the futons are fairly comfortable and a good experience. It was fairly close to the station and easy to get around from.

The apartment was beautiful. It was in the most perfect location to the Kyoto Station and the Aeon Mall. Zen's facilities were premium, four double beds with two pillows to choose from, a lovely rain shower, and an induction stove to cook on.

I loved everthing about this hotel. The room was very comfortable and I liked the level of security. The entry foyer was spacious and beautifully furnished and the guest lounge was lovely to relax in, with a coffee after a busy day. I also enjoyed that extra thoughtful touch with interesting books and brouchures to read. The garden design to view through the large glass walls was so pleasing. Also the breakfast was delicious, nothing missing.

Location was handy from the main train station but not a very exciting area. Breakfast was ok and was strongly Japanese in flavour. Public bath was great after a day of walking in the area.
