We recently stayed at this charming guesthouse! We enjoyed our stay very very much and would like to recommend this place to all. The guesthouse is conveniently located within walking distance to the high-speed train station. Every day, our family enjoyed beautiful walks along the riverbank to the area near the station. The scenery around is picturesque, and we also appreciated the convenience of having several stores and restaurants nearby. A large hospital with a 7/11 inside is just a few hundred meters away, adding to the convenience. The entire house was immaculately clean and tidy. Our family of four, including two little babies, stayed on the second floor in a traditional tatami room, which was exceptionally comfortable. The kids had a great time playing and sleeping in this well-maintained and inviting space. The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful. They not only assisted us in planning our itinerary but also offered various other types of support that touched our hearts. The kitchen was stocked with a variety of foods and drinks, which showed a thoughtful attention to detail and made our stay even more comfortable. The area around the guesthouse is breathtaking, featuring both mountains and rivers. It’s an ideal spot for families wanting to experience the rural life in Japan. The natural beauty and peaceful environment are perfect for relaxing and enjoying time away from the bustling city. Overall, we were thoroughly satisfied with our stay and would definitely choose this location again on our next visit. We highly recommend this guesthouse to any traveler looking to experience the charm of rural Japan. It's a perfect retreat that combines the comfort of home with the beauty of nature, ensuring a memorable stay for all guests.

Amasing place with gentle owners, nice and cute japanese vintage style, bright rooms with yukatas, beautiful onsen space with clear hot water, near the nature with excellent connection with City Center by bus or walking, big 7/11 convenient store near. We like that it is very personable, we throughly enjoyed the warmth and cosy home feel at the common area where you get to meet other people.

The service was amazing. The host was super friendly all the time giving advices about the region and helping us moving around the stations. The café inside the chalet is also amazing with many interesting stories to share.

Love the view and the hospitality! The room & shared toilet were clean and there’s even small onsen (outdoor and indoor) that you can book for private usage for 30 mins-1hr each day. The view from my window was amazing, snowy mountain and trees. The breakfast was super delicious, Japanese food that warmed my heart. Sae and her partner even helped us with the luggages & drove us safely back to the nearest station. Love this place!

Kutsurogian is a quiet traditional Japanese-style hotel behind the mountains with wonderful indoor and outdoor door onsen. Sitting in front of the room window, you can enjoy the spectacular snow view. The hotel is close to the nearby station，It will take 5mins to muikamarchi station. There are so many snow resorts nearby, it is very comfortable for relaxing in the hotel ‘s onsen, and then have a taste of the local food of the hotel after skiing. It is especially worth mentioning that the staff of the hotel is particularly enthusiastic, offering to provide shuttle services to the nearby station, snow resorts…When we need to go shopping, they also warmly send us to there. When we left, the staff gave my child two bathrobes.

The place was cozy and the owner was extremely kind and helpful.i had the best time there because of him.even though he was a one-man show,he did everything he could to make my stay easy and enjoyable.the room facilities was good,comfy bed and a/c or heater was provided.I hope to come back here again during proper snow season to experience the full beauty of this place.Highly recommend this place :)

Warm friendly helpful welcome by the hotel receptionist Yuri. Smooth fast check in. Comfortable spacious clean room and nice onsen. Dinner was wonderful too. The owners are a family. Met Ms Hiroko Misumi and her sister in law who both run the hotel. They are always available to lend assistance to you. Greatly appreciated their help to resolve an emergency. All 3 individuals we met speak English. Don’t be fooled by the appearance of some walls or facade of the hotel building as you approach. Once inside, everything is as well appointed and decorated like a grand ryokan.
