Excellent location, also great amenities, they had everything from cleansing oil to hair milk and face mask. I liked that this hotel is in a prime location and walkable to all important Kyoto attractions such as Pontocho (less than 5 min walk), and Higashiyama (15 min walk). The train station is around 8 min (by walk). We found out that a tea ceremony we had booked musch before, ended up being only 5 minutes away.
Given that Kyoto is less subway connected than Osaka and Tokyo, the location makes this a great stay. The room style had a quaint and classic architectural feel you see in pictures.

This room was exceptional value for money. We had a decent sized twin room with a separate wet room and toilet; the sink was in the entrance vestibule. Staff were superb and were able to deal with us keeping the room to stay an extra night as we loved the city and the room so much.
