Having Self check in was nice, we got lost and arrived pretty late, but we were able to get to our room immediately. The inn is in a quiet area next to a lovely stream that culled us to sleep at night. Our room had toilet and shower room separated, which was very nice. The room is a little small, and if you have too much luggage it might get a bit crammed but we managed anyway. There's a couple of kettles in the common area that you can use and you can probably leave your bags within the Inn before/after check in if you need to, but we didn't require that service. You can borrow umbrellas if it's raining. The area seems very quiet and anonymous, but in the end it's quite nice, there's so many small restaurants/convenience stores/chains around, it's perfect for having dinner after a long day walking. There's a jr station within 10 mins walking and plenty of bus stops. Also a couple of laundromats.

Amazing location - The bus to & from Kyoto station stops right in front of the hotel, and the train & bus stops that run to main attractions e.g. Arashiyama & Kiyomizudera are just ~5mins walk away. Great amenities & facilities - Cold & hot water dispenser, iron, luggage storage Bed, duvet and pillow were really comfy it was hard to wake up in the morning 😂 Staff were excellent! Very fast responses, even replied my messages on Booking.com at midnight.

Location was excellent. Nice big king size bed. Pillows were alright. Shower was great. Nice to have a laundromat inside the hotel. Loved that the chairs had wheels under them, easy to move around. You can store your suitcases under the bed.

This room was exceptional value for money. We had a decent sized twin room with a separate wet room and toilet; the sink was in the entrance vestibule. Staff were superb and were able to deal with us keeping the room to stay an extra night as we loved the city and the room so much.

location, spacious, friendly staff. When we had questions or needed anything, the staff was incredibly accommodating. Plenty of things nearby but still quiet. The bed was big enough for us to sleep comfortably.
