It was close to Mount Fuji with a great view from the hotel room. The room itself was spacious with a comfortable bed. The hotel also offered the chance to go to the hot springs during the stay for free. The express hotel bus was great to get from Tokyo to Mount Fuji or transfer between Mount Fuji station or Mishima to the hotel.

There was a supermarket, Lawsons and a 100yen shop nearby.
There was a supermarket, Lawsons and a 100yen shop nearby. Also a very nice family restaurant with robot machines to bring your food. And a karaoke place. Just a couple of minutes' walk to FujiQ. We were met in the lobby for a trip to Aokigihara Jukai and the wind cave. Very convenient.

We trained in, stayed 1 night then got on some bikes and rode around the base of Mt Fuji, stopped midway and returned to stay an extra night, could have easily spent a few more days here exploring the area, it was absolutely delightful!

The natural surroundings were beautiful, some areas were way overcrowded (especially the narrower streets near Kawaguchiko. Sengen Shrine is a small oasis in the city (amazing old growth forest in the city. Yoshida trail that we did part of was near the road up majority of the hike, so not as immersive as I would’ve thought
Central Fujiyoshida feels more touristy than I would've thought

For Fujiyoshida you can plan to stay 2 nights, it will be enough to enjoy different spots to see Mount Fuji and if you have plans to go to Fuji Q HIGHLAND you can also do it. Keep in mind that transportation in this town is not until very late so it can be very useful to rent a bicycle, motorcycle or car for better transportation.

When sunny, the town is very full of tourists. The train/bus station is very small for the amazing volume of vehicles and people that go through. So be prepared for crowded chaos at the station. Get the sightseeing bus pamphlet - this is a local town bus, the pamphlet shows you the attractions- it was handy. Popular attraction ropeway- great - but not remotely accessible- many many stairs and steep slopes. Good restaurant to the right of the exit of the ropeway.

We stayed for 3 nights - perfect for walking to sights like the pagoda, and a full day at Fuji Q. It meant we could choose our day according to the weather when most rides were open. There was a good variety of restaurants in the area, we had an especially good meal in ‘Aio’. Even in low cloud and rain it was interesting to wander round and fall into cafes and we had the pleasure of suddenly seeing the majesty of Mt Fuji when the clouds cleared. Fujiyoshida was a relaxing change to the tourist bustle of Kyoto and Nara which we’d just been to.
Location !!! Amazing (if you have a Fuji view room) can feel the mountain is just in front of you.
Friendly, welcoming staff - happy to help with all our enquiries.
Bathroom - had a great shower & steam facility.
Breakfast - self service with so many choices of hot & cold food - Japanese & western style.
Room had TV, fridge, kettle, toiletries
Free shuttle bus to get you to local station(s), spa next door, & Kawaguchiko station
Convenience store in lobby, 7Eleven around the corner, entrance to Fuji Q park near by.
Room and the two beds are spacious for 2 adults and 2 young children (5 and 8 yo). Location about 5 min walk from Mt. Fuji station. Easy to find as it's located by the main road. There's a supermarket across the hotel (I didn't go there so no clue what's in there). Light breakfast (ie breads, juice, tea/coffee) but enough to start the day. Coin washing machine and dryer as well vending machine for drinks available in the public area. Coffee, tea and hot water available at the reception area.
This place is an experience! Old place with plenty of history, situated very centrally on the main road of Fujiyoshida. We were told that, Mt. Fuji is even visible from the common room in clear weather.
The shared toilet is very nice. The shared bathroom looked nice, which even had a small board tl reserve a timeslot.
You book this place to experience a real old japanese house. Highly recommended!
The staff were so incredibly friendly and the hotel itself was clean and spacious! There’s a convenience store right downstairs and it’s close to a lot of restaurants as well. I also was able to rent a bike directly with the hotel staff to ride around the lake, which was a big highlight of my trip.
Everything!! Hotel is 2seconds from the station. Rooms are huge for Japan! Huge bed - comfy and nice pillow. Free coffee and tea on every floor. Staff were amazing - so helpful and nice! Loved this hotel!!
