There's a onsen in the hotel. The breakfast is really good and if you return the toothbrush that you didn't use they give you a gift ;)

This is a 90yr old Japanese home. It has the character of an older home (rooms, beds, porch, windows, doors), but with the modern touch (toilet, kitchen, bathroom). The home is very well finished with traditional items but still very comfortable. If you are after a traditional home experience, this is the one to choose.

There are so much green open areas and trails, lakes, waterfalls, ranches, historic sites under the gentle gaze of Mount Fuji. Just gorgeous and less crowded. Getting around even with public buses are easy. Just follow the bus schedule for connecting buses.

It was a nice quiet town with the most amazing UNESCO Heritage Centre, well worth a visit. Because we were there in off season June, the weather was overcast and cloudy and we were unable to see Mt Fuji, but we did get a glimpse of it for about half an hour or so! We didn't realize this is usually the case during these months and the chances of seeing Mt Fuji are quite rare. Had some of the best noodles in Japan there. We went for a walk in the evening through the town and there was no one about, it was bliss... A lot of the bars and restaurants close on a Monday. Private bus tours only run at weekends from 11am to 2pm not during the week, which we didn't know till we got there, but we used public transport and that was fine. Local bus goes to the waterfall and are relatively frequent on a Sunday.( we missed private bus tour)

Loved the Fujisan Hongu Shrine and the Mount Fuji World Heritage Centre nearby. Both are in walking distance of the train station. Had a nice lunch lunch at Fujiboku on the same street as the Shrine. The views of Mt. Fuji were extraordinary.

This is a perfect town to enjoy Mt. Fuji.
This is a perfect town to enjoy Mt. Fuji. Makaino Farm, Lake Tanuki and Shirato Fall are awesome. We had rented a car with Toyota Rent a Car in Fujinomiya. It's very easy and fun to drive in/around the town.

We loved Fujinomiya.
We loved Fujinomiya. It’s pretty quiet, but once we got our bearings and a few tips from our accommodation hosts we had great meals. Can easily see Fuji san. Close to Shrirato falls, and we drove up to Fujinomiya 5th station. The gem of the town is the Fuji World heritage centre. We could only spend a little over an hour there, well worth the visit to understand Fuji better. Easy JR access. Highly recommend and would guess a less crowed way to get to see Fuji, than travelling from Tokyo.

Fujinomiya is a small town dedicated to climbing Fuji-San and taking advantage of the many parks and open spaces that offer hiking. Public transportation is good to other villages. It is not pretentious, the people are quiet and gracious
The museum on Fuji-San is amazing - a must see even if you do not climb
A capsule hotel without the capsules. The sleeping area is partitioned with walls, furnished with a single bed, charging area and TV with adequate height to stand. There is a shared living room and bathroom which were clean and spacious and is conveniently located near train station within walking distance.
Staff is amenable and able to speak fluently in English.
Guests are also given a locker space to store items.
There are rules for guests to follow, to ensure that the sleeping area is as quiet as possible.
The host is what makes this property so great: very friendly and helpful with local knowledge. He is especially helpful if you are interested in climbing the Fujinomiya trail...will deliver you to the shuttle bus parking lot in time for the first bus of the day. The shuttle bus from the 5th station will bring you right back to the train station at the end of the day (and it's about 2 minutes' walk from the Fujinomiya train station to your accommodations).
Good accommodation 🏡 recommended in Fujinomiya city
Near Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha Shrine
Next alley there is 7-11 🍪 Behind the house there is Fuji, in front of the house there is parking.
In the house there is a kitchen, washing machine, 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 1 living room.
Good service, don't know how to use it, the operator called the intercom.
Reserve several months in advance. Moderate price. Recommended 👍
After years of travelling to Japan for both leisure and work, I finally have a clear majestic view of Mount Fuji both on the street and from my hotel room window. Spectacular sunset view in a quiet town of Fujinomiya. Even though the hotel is a bit old and dated, most of my time was spent outdoor so it doesn't bother me. I just need a place to sleep and charge my phone. Glad that I booked this hotel.
The single room is pretty small but the view of Mt. Fuji directly to my window is everything! Awesome. The location is excellent. Right across from the JR station and bus terminal. The walking to AEON Mall and other attractions such as Mt. Fuji World Heritage is super easy.
Beautiful authentic house in traditional Japanese style. It is placed near the hills with a forest.
The house has a small garden with a barbeque.
It has 2 bicycles that help a lot to get to the city.
Very friendly staff.
New hotel with very modern facilities. Clean rooms and staff was very friendly.
The location is also amazing as it is close to the station and 5min walking distance from big mall and a beautifull shrine.
Beautiful, traditional style Japanese house with all necessary amenities for a family. The staff was wonderful and went out of the way to make us comfortable and feel welcome.
Few steps from Fujinomiya station! The hotel offers an amazing breakfast and friendly staff. We loved the welcome drink moment. Comfortable bed! We loved the experience
We were running a cycling tour with Australian and Canadian guests. The hotel were very accommodating and helped us make our guests stay very enjoyable.
The place was a little run-down but the owner was a very kind old lady. It's an old Japanese house that lets out rooms. Expect an elderly person's home.
