We loved how conveniently near it is from the station. Although you might need to walk more or take the bus to go around and find good places to eat but nonetheless very quiet neighborhood.

I travelled from Tokyo to Shin-Fuji via Kodama Shinkansen.
I travelled from Tokyo to Shin-Fuji via Kodama Shinkansen. The fare is ¥5900 one way and travel time is nearly an hour. I stayed at Toyoko Inn which is 150 meters from the Shin Fuji station. There are lots of car rentals in the area but I was not able to get one as they only accept advance booking from their website. It took me 2 hours getting to and from the foot of Mt. Fuji, by bus and a 15 minute walk in the village to reach my destinations. Roads are quite narrow but they are common in Japan. Like most countryside places in Japan, Fuji is relatively clean, rich in nature, and lots of places to explore. My advice if you want to visit Fuji: 1. Travel by Shinkansen going to and from Fuji. 2. Rent a car so you can visit most of the attractions in and around Mt. Fuji. 3. Spend at leat 3-4 days in the area. 4. Bring cash with you always as most establishments are cash based. 5. Download Papago app on your phone so you can translate Japanese images, signs, etc if you're having difficulty understanding the language. That's it and enjoy your trip to Mt. Fuji.

The host was amazing, he has two dogs. 50 years old traditional house is an experience itself. House is comfortably situated between two stations, one of which is Shinkansen stop. 7-eleven is nearby. Authentic experience of Japanese life different from hectic Tokyo, because not touristy.
The hosts were really nice during my whole stay, and they even helped me retrieve my lost item after I left the guesthouse. They have been the nicest host I met during my stay in Japan. The facilities in the guesthouse are up to date and very comfortable to use. I like the Japanese style decoration, it makes my trip so much more memorable. The location is very convenient as it’s very near to Fuji station and Lawson.
The hostel was very clean and the location practical (15 mins walk from Fuji station and Shin-Fuji - useful for visiting Fujinomiya and Shiraito falls easily!). Nazu was very welcoming, and has a lot of good advice on what to visit / train times etc. He also lent me a bike on my last morning so I could bike along the sea which was beautiful and relaxing! Would definitely stay here again
Very nice hotel not far from Shin-Fuji station. Staff were friendly and able to communicate in Japanese and English. The breakfast was a mixture of local and international foods which were fresh and tasty with lots of choice.
The main thing I will remember is the view from my hotel window of Mt Fuji - spectacular !
Would be happy to go back and stay again.
Well furnitures with wooden base. Comfortable and spacious to sleep. Friendly owner who comes from RSA and has good understanding about Japanese culture for both good and bad side. It was really fun to talk and discuss how he has insight for Japan and how he enjoys to live here. With 5 mins walk, you can also enjoy tapas and Aussie food bar.
The accommodations were very nice, clean and comfortable, with a great view from the room! The host was very friendly and spoke great English. They have a beautiful yard, and a music room. I would highly recommend it to anyone, looking for a cute simple place to stay in Fuji.
Probably the best hotel I stayed in so far in Japan
- awesome view (on clear weather)
- staff very nice and helpful
- very clean
- nice breakfast, especially good that it is included
- felt more spacious than usual rooms in Japan
- plenty of restaurants nearby
The rooms are modern and comfy.
The hotel’s family-friendly. The walls are soundproofed.
The staff are friendly and helpful. They speak English well.
The bathroom’s huge, clean and modern.
The floor has an amazing view of Mt. Fuji.
The breakfast is okay.
Conveniently located, basically right next door to the Fuji Train Station. Friendly and helpful staff. Provided an assortment of amenities and pajamas for free. As well as during 6-9pm(?) there's a free open bar, which we thoroughly enjoyed!
Very authentic japanese experience for no money. The guy owning the place was so friendly and helpful (yes his english wasn’t the best but i didn’t see it as a problem). Had a great view over Mt fuji from my room. Definitely recommend! 😊
Very clean and enough space in the room. Breakfast had enough options for me. Has public bath at 1st floor. Nice view to Fuji when waiting for elevator at higher floors, and probably from some rooms, but I got my room on the other side.
Good location if you are going to do day trips up to Mount Fuji or onsens, there is a bus stop directly outside the hotel and it’s a 10min taxi from shin Fuji station. Nice for a night or two
Close to Fuji Station , Large rooms for Japanese std. Well appointed. Considerate staff with an understanding of visitor’s needs. Decent view of Mt Fuji, weather permitting.
