Huge room, very clean, good WiFi, flexible 24hr check in and security guy downstairs. Very close to the airport, and easy to find with lots of free street parking outside. Location was my main reason to book this place after landing on a late flight, and this did the job.

I recently traveled 10 hours to reach Opal Hotel, expecting a luxurious and comfortable stay at a reputed 5-star establishment. Unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory.
Upon checking in around 12:20 AM, I was met with a series of disappointments. Firstly, the room I was assigned was not in working order. This was followed by the realization that there was no WiFi available in the room, and even basic 3G or 4G signals were inaccessible. To add to the disappointment, essential amenities such as washroom slippers and a landline phone were missing from the room.
Despite bringing these issues to the attention of the reception staff on three separate occasions, I found myself in a frustrating situation where no resolution was provided. What's worse is that I discovered that multiple guests from different rooms were facing similar complaints.
I write this review at 1:25 AM, I am still in the same inadequate room. Paying $115 USD for a night at a supposedly 5-star hotel, only to be met with such inconveniences and lack of service, is highly disappointing.
To future guests, I strongly advise against accepting rooms on the first floor at Opal Hotel. It is clear that there are significant issues that need to be addressed.
In conclusion, my experience at Opal Hotel has been one of disheartenment and frustration.

Wonderful reception and so kind and helpful. Lovely big apartment with comfy beds. Breakfast with the family was a real Jordanian experience.

Terrible wifi that barely worked. Don't book this hotel if you need to do work online, unless you have a sim card from which you can hotspot yourself.
Almost nobody around speaks English well, so communicating can be a big struggle
Expect to be woken up by a prayer from the Mosque next door at 6 AM. However, they will be quiet for the rest of the night.
Getting food is difficult. There is a coffee shop in the same building, but they don't serve food. 100m away there is a small takeaway eating place with cheap junk food. But there is no menu and they don't speak English well, so you just have to communicate with body language and hope they give you what you prefer. There is also a shop with snacks available there. No prices are displayed though. The staff will help you order takeaway, but a meal that makes you full costs around 6 JD, so be prepared.
Expect imperfections in your room such as weak air condition, showering water that only gets a little warm, leaking toilet, weak flushing, and a bit of uncleaniness
The beds are a bit hard, and the pillows are too big
There is not really anything to see in the nearby area
The light on the ceiling that illuminates the room shines very bright and white light that is kinda depressing at night
