We stayed for 1 night, so cant say much. It was a nice room and comfortable bed. Windows were facing the street, but cant recall any noise. And the whole hotel is surrounded by trees, so it has a good protection from the sun.

Lovely property - very comfortable, great style and sense of history, fabulous breakfast - one of the best we have had, and above all great staff, in particular Andre on the front desk who could not have been more professional, helpful, kind and generous - he made our stay extra special and is a real asset to the hotel. We loved our stay and wished we could have stayed longer - very highly recommended! Moderna is a delightful city to visit and this is the place to stay - just a short walk to everything you might want to enjoy.

Good thing was that there were very few tourists there , so a more authentic city to visit . However , it did feel a bit flat in the evenings. Amazingly, people were not out drinking Aperol Spritz around 6.00 pm as they were in Parma . Also , seemed so quiet and lacking in atmosphere by comparison . Essential to book a table in restaurants otherwise you won’t get in - similar to Parma .

I used to live in Modena, now I come back mainly for family reasons.
I would not visit in the middle of August, as it is way too hot and mostly empty, this time I had to come to see my mum in hospital.
Lots of things to see, and to taste, friendly people and a very nice Cathedral, plus if you like fast cars, and opera this is the place for you.

Beautiful, clean city populated with racist drunks.
Beautiful, clean city populated with racist drunks. Taxi drivers intentionally ignored us until I threatened to call the city. We were discriminated against and turned away from multiple bars and a restaurant. One said that it was a bar only for college students (no mention of this on the website), another said they were closed (it was 9pm and they just let three Italian girls in), the restaurant straight up told us that “white girls” have a bad time there in a very threatening manner. The ONLY reason to come here is Trampos Jewelry. They have the most beautiful pieces of silver and gold, they even custom made a matching bracelet for my husband! Stay in Bologna, come shopping then gtfo.

Good medium sized city for relax and enjoy food.
Good medium sized city for relax and enjoy food. It was lots of shops, and good train connections to Rome and Firenze and plenty other places to go. The city is uncomplicated with an excellent bus system and good traffic management, the center is pedestrian-bike friendly more than other Italian cities, there are plenty of ice-cream shops, trattorie and in general the business are not really that much of a tourist trap like in Rome or other European cities. We wish the city continues to do good and manage things in a sensible way. In general it doesn't seem tourism to have made lots of damage here. Lots of local people and tourist too but without loosing the city soul.

We stated in Modena for one night and could have stayed longer. It is a beautiful city, reasonably compact and plenty to explore. We explored the north part of the city. There was a decent sized park and beautiful architecture. We found a very relaxed pizza restaurant which was good value and we enjoyed people watching! It felt like a very stylish city.

Cozy feel in the Center—cobblestones, porticos, Mercato Albinelli, Enzo Ferrari Museum, incredible food, particularly Uva d’Oro restaurant (went to dinner there twice as it was so enjoyable) and Sant’Agostino three times for late afternoon aperitivi.
This hotel was good value for money. Modena seems to be more of a destination for business than pleasure so there isn't a lot of affordable hotels right in the centre. The room was quite simple, but that was fine for me. The complimentary bottles of water were most welcomed as it was very hot the day I arrived. The staff were friendly and helpful as well and were able to provide luggage storage for me so I could take a look around Modena before leaving. The breakfast was excellent and had a massive selection of food to choose from.
B&B Hotel Modena is a good hotel to stay in for a few days while exploring nearby cities. It is a 25 minute walk from the centre with the main landmarks and restaurants in Modena, which is also quite convenient. The hotel has parking right outside, which is a huge plus! Also the refrigerators and vending machines in the lobby of the hotel are a very handy touch!
Fabulous old hotel just outside Modena. Had a fantastic meal at the Patriarca restaurant, close by (walking distance). Very friendly staff, super spread at breakfast. Great free parking on premises.
A comfortable, spacious and stylish apartment to stay in the centre of Modena. Host was very considerate and quick at responding to messages. Parking available too.
Read the reviews on this hotel so booked it, if you want a cheap, clean & friendly hotel, close to the centre of Modena, book this place! No point looking elsewhere
