Capri is beautiful but being destroyed by greed. Over-development and far too many people descending on the island from cruise ships. And allowing tour groups of twenty or more people to crowd such tiny streets is ridiculous. It starting to feel like an outdoor shopping mall. A real shame, as, geographically, it is stunning.

We loved the Boutique Hotel Room.
We loved the Boutique Hotel Room. It was very Nice, and the owner Daniela, was very accommodating to us. We ended up arriving about five hours early and she was very gracious and allowing us to check in early. She even sat with us and helped us with many plans for dinner and finding taxis and the boat arena, etc..

For archeology lovers, Villa Jovis is the biggest imperial roman palace remaining on the island, with a beautiful hike through the outskirts of Capri town up to the Villa Jovis, and a gorgeous park next to it, Parco Astarita, with breath-taking views of the sea.
For hikers, you can hike along the western coast of the island from a lighthouse in the southwest (Faro) to Grotto Azzuro in the northwest, through diverse terrain of mediterranean forests, rocks and cliffs above the sea (sometimes scary), and ruins of old forts along the way.
Chair lift at Monte Solaro brings you to a great almost full circle view of the island.
Anacapri, the second town on this little island, has more diverse restaurant options relative to the chic Capri, with a short bus ride between the two.

We went in November so the weather was not great and many restaurants were closed. There were a couple options in Capri and a couple in Anacapri. Otherwise it was very pretty and a magical experience.

One more day would have been great.
One more day would have been great. We loved walking and exploring the island. We walked over to the other side and down to the water. The walk back up was not easy, but the weather was perfect. We took a taxi over to Anacapri to see the Villa San Michele and experience that side and really loved it. Restaurants are fantastic, people are great and the sights and sounds are so unique.
The most beautiful villa hotel in Capri. The rooms had amazing high ceilings, beautiful built in armoires and everything was cared for so carefully by the family.
The breakfast, the pool, working with the bag porters for the ferry boats… we even got lucky enough to have them help us obtain a reservation at Da Paolino.
I was lucky enough to find them on booking.com but i would 100% recommend this hotel to others. And although it was peaceful and relaxing it is very family friendly. 😉
Brilliant location and views from an elegant clean hotel, very close and good access to one of the best beaches in Capri and distant from the crowds. However, and its a big however, the hotel has a shuttle service running up and down the hill every 10 or 15 minutes, and if there isnt one when you want one, contacting the front desk on WhatsApp gets you one quickly. Talking of the front desk, they couldnt be more helpful for whatever is needed.
Teresa was incredibly helpful and would be best described as a 5-star concierge service at a hotel. Extremely helpful and on hand to help with anything and everything.
The apartment itself was very clean and well equipped for a short stay with easy access to both Marina Grande (10 mins walk) and central Capri (5 minutes walk).
I'd recommend this place to anyone. It's ideal. Then there's the views of the harbour. They speak for themselves.
This is one of the best hotels you can every stay in Capri, if not the best. Rooms are amazing and new, staff is super friendly with passion for their work, amazing location and superb facilities. If you want a top holiday experience, this is the place to go.
To the La Minerva staff: Thank you very much for making us feel welcomed and at home at all times. We really enjoyed our stay and looking forward to coming back next year.
I loved this hotel! It is quaint and is a beautiful property. The pool and outdoor eating area are lovely and provide stunning views of the sea. The rooms are comfy and spacious and the staff is extremely accommodating, helping me with my luggage as well as booking a ferry for my departure. The location is prime as it is right off one of the main shopping streets in Capri.
The hotel is spotless, very clean all over. The room was perfect with a great view of the Capri Bay. Just minutes from the main square of Capri town, you’re surrounded in shops, restaurants and café’s.
The breakfast was fresh and had more options then most. The staff are very friendly and made us feel very welcome.
we look forward to staying here again. A+ Recommend

Everything during our stay was just like a dream come true. The hotel is just exceptional. The details makes it more special. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The rooms are not only clean but have an exceptional design. Staying there made our visit to capri perfect
This hotel was like going back to 1950’s Italy with the service and staff both absolutely amazing. Loved that they turned down the beds each night, organised dinner reservations and were so genuinely friendly. The pool was fantastic to relax beside in the heat.
A fabulous property the room we got was huge and also had a fabulous sun terrace, the breakfast was the best we had in Italy for a hotel breakfast. The pool and lounge area is the ideal way to unwind for a while.
What didn’t we like!!!!!! Such an amazing location that we didn’t want to leave for our excursions. The free shuttle to Capri and from the Marina Grande to the hotel are such a benefit to the customer.
This property has stunning views. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The staff is so friendly and helpful. We had our best meal of the entire Italy trip at the hotels restaurant, just delicious.
The hotel was fantastic. The owner was present at all times and it was evident the love and hard work that has been it in to make this one of the best stays in Capri! We will definitely be back!
Hotel was very central to Capri town but very quiet. It was clean and comfortable with plenty of space to sit and relax. Breakfast was good. We spent a lovely couple of days here on Capri.
Beautiful views. Nice location. Very comfortable room with cute little kitchen. Highly recommended little boutique hotel. Will stay again if ever get to go back to Capri!
Capri is an expensive destination. This small hotel( only 10 rooms) is a perfect location if you want to be in the heart of Capri. Ample breakfast to suit every taste
Esther and her staff were superb - so warm and welcoming. Very hospitable. There is no better view of Capri than from the hotel’s balcony and guest rooms.
