Good communication prior to arrival to enable very late self check-in. Sent video with instructions and directions at La Castlelland Loft facility which resulted in easy arrival late at night. Breakfast staff were both friendly and accommodating Helped us arrange a Taxi and used a translation app to converse Italian to English. . Room 10 very comfortable easy access to WIFI and air con. Even tea & coffee making station with small minibar at minimal cost if needed. We had a great night's sleep and continental breakfast. Thabkyou to all the staff. ❤️

Small but perfectly formed. Felt cosy. Modern interior with large bedrooms and bathrooms with wonderful walk-in shower. The breakfasts, as other reviewers have said, were delicious, beautifully cooked and presented. Good location for walking to shops and restaurants and to buses.
The most important factor was the staff. The 3 concierges (not an accurate description as they did everything) we met over the week were absolutely amazing (Francesco, Joanna and Rebecca) as were the kitchen and housekeeping staff.

Amazing property, fabulous people and very good food
The arrival point of low-cost airlines and cheap flights to Milan, beautiful Bergamo is a tourist destination in its own right. In the foothills of the Alps, the city is spread over 2 levels. The main sights are in the upper level, or Città Alta, where sloping, cobbled streets open into pretty squares.
One such square is Piazza Vecchia with its pavement cafés, beautiful library and elegant Palazzo della Ragione. Through its arches is the Cappella Colleoni, an impressive chapel with an ornately sculpted façade and even more ornate interior. The next door Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore has awe-inspiring frescoes.
Surrounding streets contain several Bergamo old town hotels and B&Bs, while surrounding the whole upper city are 17th-century Venetian walls. There are still remains of the Rocca, the castle that guarded them, and there is also a castle in San Vigilio, a hilltop village reached by funicular railway.
A funicular also descends to the modern town – Città Bassa. Nearby is the Accademia Carrara, a fine art gallery, and opposite is the GAMEC modern art museum. The Serie A club Atalanta FC play in a stadium to the north-east, while south-west is the train station from where buses to Orio al Serio Airport depart.
Booking.com offers several Bergamo hotels near the airport and the neighbouring Orio Centre shopping complex.

Plenty of interesting tourist sights, easily accessed either on foot or public transport. The Citta Alta was a magnificent medieval city of culture. There were lots of vibrant restaurants in both the upper and lower parts of the city.
Excellent transport on bus and train in order to visit surrounding towns and lakes.

A lovely northern Italian city that is not packed with tourists, even during the high summer. The Citta' Alta is worth spending one or two days in, as there's plenty to see. A good range & variety of restaurants & bars in both the old town and new.

Bergamo, what a hidden gem of beautifully kept churches and buildings from the 1100’s on.
So many things to see and do, eat and drink
Food prices were much lower than other tourist cities and delicious
Loved the Citta Alta, walking at dawn in the quiet and cool although, the hills are steep and cobbled stoned.
The lower city is sprawling and it’s a mission to try to see it all. 3 days would be a minimum stay.
The city buses were frequent and easy to navigate

Especially the historical part of the city was really lovely and the views were amazing. Most of the town is not too crowded. It is also good city for day trips to other destinations such as Milan, Lake Iseo or Como. On the other hand, the non-touristic parts of the city were not well kept and we saw trash almost everywhere.
This Hotel was a very pleasant surprise for us as we did not expect the hotel to have such modern and comfortable facilities in the old town of Bergamo, we did not want to stay in lower Bergamo, as a consequence we were prepared to forgo some comforts in order to stay in the Upper Town, the Gombit accomodation we decided on was above our expectations, modern, comfortable amazing size room and fantastic staff. We in fact have to say that this hotel was the best one we used during this four week travel through North of Italy and Paris.
The hotel was a nice place to stay.
I do not say anything bad about Albergo900 in Bergamo.
Booking.com or the hotel might not post my review, that it is hard to trust hotels now after my horrible experience in dangerous AgriturismoGiroDiVento, Via Cerretino 3226, Sant'elpidio a mare, Marche, Italy, who have not compensated my awful stay there, for being rude, impolite, threatening my safety, the attitude of staff of AgriturismoGiroDiVento, in Via Cerretino 3226, towards international tourist cannot be justified and forgiven.
It was my seventh visit of Bergamo and one of the best. Perfect for short or longer stay, you have verything you need, room si cozy, bathroom is not so small as it use to be in Italy :). In kitchen in the corridor you can find rest of things for your stay, check in was easy and location is only 10 minuts walk from main station, big grocery shop or good coffer and restaurant less then 5 minutes.
A great place to stay in Bergamo with friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is located very near to Porta Nuova with a 15 - 20 minute walk to Citta Alta. The room was very clean, cosy and comfortable. The breakfasts were nice, varied and tasty. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone!
An ideal place to stay if you are arriving at Bergamo airport.
Very helpful and friendly owner! Thanks a lot!
Two good bedrooms, well equipped kitchen and bathroom, very good breakfast.
Highly recommend to everyone. When I go to Northern Italy again, I will choose the same place.
