Angera is a very pretty little town on Lake Maggiore, northern Italy. It's about 40 minutes from Milan Malpensa airport. It has good restaurants and a great gelateria. The Rocca is well worth visiting and a day on the lake is to be recommended.
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel dei Tigli in Angera! The hotel has a very authentic old time-y feel which we loved (but might not be for everyone), and what made it exceptional was the absolutely lovely staff! They made us feel so welcome and at home. The hotel has free mountain bikes you can take out during the day, we LOVED this perk it really added to our stay. Breakfast was great, a typical Italian/European breakfast with coffee, bread, cheese, yogurts etc.

Fabio and Giovanna’s boutique hotel in Angera is exceptional, being ideally located to explore Lake Maggiore with its authentic towns and villages and for venturing further afield to Lake Como, Lake Varese, Milan and the epic drive to Mottarone. The hotel has a romantic view towards Rocco Borromea castle and towards the lake while its rooms are excellently appointed. Our hosts were personable and engaging and no query was too much trouble.
The house is very well maintained, cozy, and with all amenities. The outside space is generous and inviting. I particularly enjoyed the fireplace, what an atmosphere it provides. Although we didn't meet the hosts, the communication was perfect. We even got a welcome gift on arrival. Internet, TV, and electronics all worked perfectly.
I definitely recommend this spot if you ever visit Angera.
Everything. Martin and Nadja are the best owners I ever had in my bookings history. They care a lot of you, like person ,tourist, family member… Accomodation was clean, very nice renovation of old fisherman house. Place Angera is very quiet location for families, with a lot of possibilities. You can go swim, on bike, ferry, boat, castle, restaurants , nature around, be local in few minutes;)
Spacious, clean and elegant apartment very close to everything you may need. We're 6 and we all felt comfortable. The hosts Brian and Shelley are so nice, friendly and always willing to help. You get access to a small and lovely garden. Angera is a good relaxed choice for families. Recommended 👍
Very sweet and cozy place at a beautiful small village close to Lago Maggiore! The staff is super friendly, the room has a lot of space and everything you need. Excellent restaurant with super sweet staff right next to the hotel. Highly recommended and I will be back for sure!
Staying at Cascina Canée was a highlight of our trip to Italy. The hosts were awesome-- friendly, helpful, and great company. The converted farm house was beautiful and the views of the castle during breakfast was stunning. Order the dinner! Their homemade food is amazing.
Great Hotel located in a quiet town very close to Lago Maggiore. Rooms are quite big and spotlessly clean. Breakfast is great and served at the restaurant just opposite to the hotel. Staff were very friendly and kind in accommodating a late check in.
The breakfast was fine, the location with views of the lake was great and with parking on site it made the stay very enjoyable. To get to the town was very easy. View and the hotel's food was outstanding for a small family owned property

Elegant interior of the hotel, nice spacious room with a beautiful terrace, large bathroom, very close to the lake (even though it is in a part of the lake where one cannot swim). Nice breakfast buffet and very helpful staff.
Nice countryside location, not too far from Angera and very friendly welcome. Also a nice terrace on the first floor, nice bathroom. Alessandra really did everything to help us.
We arrived very late (and there is no 24-hour desk in this hotel), but they found a solution for that after we called them in advance. Excellent room and a decent breakfast.
Breakfast was excellent. When we arrived the desk clerk immediately arranged the required COVID test 2 days later for us. Perfect place to end our month in Northern Italy.
The hotel was new and fresh. Rooms and the staff were great and of course the roof terrace with a lake view was just amazing. Nothing to complain about the hotel itself.
