Didn’t rate the staff as we didn’t actually meet anyone, key was ready for us on arrival and we just dropped it in departure. It was seamless, no additional costs being a guesthouse. Lovely location on the lakefront, quaint little town.

Lovely 3 bed property with great hot tub. Quiet location overlooking the fjord. Walkable to a few waterfalls and the town but very private. Helpful owners. Provided games which were very welcome when we were stuck inside for most of one day due to a storm. Appreciated the robes.

It is a beautiful secluded town in Eastfjords filled with colorful houses. Serene and quiet surrounded by beautiful mountains. We wish we had more time to visit artisan galleries. Unfortunately we arrived late evening and art studios were closed.

This town is a bit over rated in my opinion.
This town is a bit over rated in my opinion. There is almost nothing there. The setting is nice, but we stayed in a town called Siglufjordur up north is much prettier and had a lot more to offer, so I would skip this one and head up there.

This is a great place to stay for a couple of days.
This is a great place to stay for a couple of days. The town is small but charming, and there a multiple day hikes close by. If you are doing the ring road, this might be a nice spot for two nights to rest up a bit. You might catch a glimpse of the Faroe Islands/Denmark Ferry that comes in once a week. Breakfast options are limited, however there is a little bakery in the supermarket that has wonderful fresh baked bread and goods.

This is a pleasant town in a strikingly beautiful location between mountains and a fjord. Apart from the surrounding beauty, the town is tranquil (out of season) and very walkable. We understand that things heat up during the summer season. There are a handful of restaurants and a well-stocked supermarket. During working hours the town suffers from strong fishy odors coming from the local fish processing factory.
In short, it is a must-see stop on any tour of Iceland.

Seydisfjordur was a picture perfect village.
Seydisfjordur was a picture perfect village. We ate at two of the restaurants and the food was delicious. We enjoyed a local hike. And being fans of "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" we enjoyed seeing the filming locations in this town.
Nice quiet hotel in the small village of Seydisfjordur. Room, bathroom and corridors clean. Room had a good shower although rather small. Prior to arrival they sent us a friendly advice with photos, on how to arrive at the hotel and what to do if arriving late. Also in case of bad weather and road conditions, what to do and the option of contacting the hotel for possible refund or re-booking. That was really nice! Luckily we made it and had a comfortable stay.
The apartment is very cozy and the studio had been prepared in a stylish manner. The house is near a beautiful waterfall with an hiking path nearby. Room is clean and the heater in the bathroom make it very comfortable.
The hotel is located in the middle of Seyðisfjörður and my room had a lovely view of the harbour.
Check in was easy and contact free. WiFi was fast and reliable.
Host provided good recommendations for where to eat.
10+ for the apartment: huge, very well equipped, in a great location - the center of the beautiful town of Seyðisfjörður. A bit old fashioned but that only added to the charm of the place.
