An absolute gem of a homestay. We were welcomed in like family by Sukshme and Brijendra. The house and gardens are beautiful and a very tranquil place to stay - lots of nice birds inc bee-eaters and hoopoes. The food is all homecooked and delicious. Panchkula (five wells?) is on the outskirts of Chandigarh. It is relatively clean compared to other parts of India. However street marking makes it difficult to locate any dwelling/building. unless you are familiar with the area. Panchkula is close to the cactus garden which is highly recommended. There is also a large clean and well maintained park next door. The shopping area which though somewhat run down, is also relatively clean and there are sufficient eating places for meals.
