I visited Masinagudi with my family, and we had an amazing two-day stay at The Nest Inn Resort. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with breathtaking views. The overall ambiance of the property was beautiful, and the food was great, as they serve fresh meals made to order.
The staff at the resort were incredibly friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Mr. Mansoor and Mr. Radhakrishnan, who gave us detailed insights into the local wildlife. Mr. Radhakrishnan took us on a buffer zone safari, which was truly the highlight of our trip! He explained everything in detail, from the different bird species to the plants and the alarm signals animals use to warn of predators.
We are leaving with wonderful memories and a deeper understanding of wildlife.

It is a nice stay. The food was tasty and warm. The staff were helpful. There is a big parking place adjacent. Also the guest house was calm, providing a peaceful stay. The staff also arrange for forest safari, with a pickup and drop off point right at the guest house.
Bamboo Banks is a beautiful 40-acre farm located in the Mudumalai Game Reserve. It provides simple accommodation with a games room, a library and horse riding activities.

The route is very scenic, you'll get to see several wild animals on the route. There are good restaurants in the city. The climate is also very good, but try not to roam around at night as elephants might be there. Also, due to less pollution you can see stars clearly at night.

Great location for people wanting to experience stay in forest reserve. However a little out of way. Food choices in the hotel were limited but adequate and well cooked. Hot water was a plus. Masinadudi is not a place for much sightseeing other than the hit or miss safaris. Also no city center to hang out. So hotel or safari are only choices. Overall a unique and different experience from standard hotels. I do have to commend the staff for their helpfulness and curtesy.

Mudumalai and Bandipur are very nearby so that you can plan your jungle safaris
Ooty is also not so far and the route to ooty is filled with scenic spots.

The place is great just to chill.
The place is great just to chill. You can go for the Government Safari... We booked a jeep drive(Costs more but worth it) for an hour and went deep into the Jungle (If you dislike Noise saty away fro the bus Safari). DId not see much wildlife except Elephants and Deer, never got sight of a tiger, but the serenity and fresheness of an Indian Jungle was there. I never saw so many Sandelwood trees in my life and felt very much a part of the Jungle. Privaste Safari's are a scam if you take them at the thier word, negotiate them to take you to places inaccesible via regular cars cannot go (4WD areas). DOn'tbelive the Private safari guys that they can show you a Tiger (its ther biggest scam). Treks are good and fun, your Hotel is the best place to arrange it if you do not know Tamil... 2 or 3 days are good here not more, unless you want to just realx in and around the hotel.
The room and service. Room was very spacious, clean, well lit and spacious bathroom. When you see Kohler as bathroom fittings, you can understand the quality consciousness of the place.
The care taker Raju is a hospitality school by himself. Hotel management students should learn from him
Food is homely and tasty.
I believe it is the Leadership - Mr Pushp Chand who ensures the guests are comfortable. Dynamic yet humble person!

It's been a wonderful stay for 2 nights with my family and friends at Tamarind property, Masinagudi. Property owner Mr. Kumar and Manager Mr. Manu were very helpful and sweet. The property has a beautiful garden with green lush landscape facing Nilagiri mountain.The property serves only Veg food including breakfast. But, They arrange non veg homemade foods for us from outside at request. We look forward to visiting them again on our next visit.
I want to thank you for your amazing hospitality during our stay. Your arrangements and recommendations were absolutely impeccable and spot on. We had so much fun at Masinagudi that this might have been the best trip of our lives. Even our trip to Bandipur was amazing. We even got to meet the main cast of the Elephant Whisperers!

This was our 3rd visit to Masinagudi and Avadale was one of the best properties we stayed here. The location is good, view from the property is awesome and food is very good. Staffs are really good and the owner Mr. Zain is an amazing young host and entrepreneur. We loved the place, kids enjoyed as well. Wish we could stay more. May be next time.
