We definitely loved our stay at the Aurika Coorg hotel! Everybody was so friendly and welcoming. All the staff made us feel welcome. The resort is beautifully situated in lush green surroundings with amazing views. It even has its own coffee plantation! Our room was big and tastefully decorated. We went on the morning nature walks with bird expert Ganesh who showed and explained to us many birds and plants. In the evening we listened to nature and culture stories also presented by Ganesh. For the Holi festival a great party was organized by the hotel and we had a lot of fun! Food was very good (one evening there was a buffet and the other night a la carte). Also to be recommended is the spa where Nancy and her colleague offer quality massages. We definitely could have stayed longer and I am sure we will come back to this wonderful place!

Nice place nestled in nature. The places to see are constantly repeated in most travel web sites and blogs. The highlight was the visit to the golden temple at Kushalnagar and the drive to talacauvery temple. Raja seats was crowded, so was the market. The weather was mostly pleasant. Would recommend a two day stay to see everything in Madikeri as well as Kushalnagar. Don’t forget to indulge in local cuisine while at Madikeri from Coorg Cuisine .

Madikeri is a great place to be laid back and chill out.
Madikeri is a great place to be laid back and chill out. It is a good escape from city environments and plan to stay for 1 day if single or couple or a couple of days if a group, in case you already visited the tourist spots. If you have not, you can cover it all in a maximum of 3 days, unless you wish to relax more.

And the place itself is wonderful - the room is huge, we'd rather call it an apartment! There's hot water in the shower, fan, blankets. The breakfast the hosts provided was so delicious! And surrounding scenery is fabulous!

I have stayed in various hotels and resorts including Taj, Radisson, swissotel, intercontinental to name a few. But Coorg wilderness resort outshines all of it. The word excellent is insufficient to describe the resort. The best highlights are the location, food including dinner and breakfast. Also to note the staff are highly trained, kind and the best I have come across so far.
I have to agree Paul John resorts have maintained excellent quality in all aspects.
This is an amazing value-for-money property in Madikeri. It gives you the same view as the famous "Raja's seat" right from your room! In walking distance from many famous sights, ample parking, good food, well maintained rooms, and good space to walk around. Views of the valley from the restaurant and also from most rooms! Definitely my go-to hotel in Madikeri, have stayed at least 7-8 times over a decade, and always found it up to the mark!
It was one of the best property I have stayed yet according to budget hotels. The rooms/bathroom was clean with all basic amenities. The location was awesome away from city noise with plantations all around you. Jinasuddin(host) was very humble & took care of all the needs, along with Hafeez (service person) took care of all room service when needed. Will stay again if visiting Coorg.
The location and the staff were amazing in the heart of the city.. the room was decent for the budget. If you are expecting a lot of scenic view then this is not your place..However, if you want to stay in the heart of the city with a peaceful neighborhood this is the go to place..about 800m from Raja Seat and 500m from Madikeri bus stand this is indeed a wonderful stay.
The stay at Zostel was great. Riyaz, our host, was warm and kind. The food was delicious. It was fun staying at the property, interacting with people and waking to a drizzle in the mornings. The property was far from the city center, in the midst of a coffee plantation; quiet, lush green and home-like. I'd recommend people looking to stay at Coorg to go for Zostel.

Located at a nice place away from main city, stay was very comfortable and host was an amazing person. We had the whole 2 bhk house to ourselves, inverter, Geyser in bath for hot water and parking right outside the house which is secure too are some pluses.. Enjoyed our stay and will definitely choose to stay here if I visit coorg or madikeri the next time 😊
This is a very bad experience. I have booked this property much before my journey to coorg. But when I reached there and contact the owner, he denied the booking and cancelled my booking. I along with my family face lots of trouble due to the last moment cancellation of booking. So, please don't book this property as the behavior of owner is very worst.
