I loved the climate, the surroundings, the greenery and the forests and the entire train ride from Bhubaneswar to Koraput especially early in the morning after Rayagada. Its a worth visiting place for all nature lovers. It also has a tribal museum which one should visit and spend time to understand the tribal culture of Odisha. I wish I can come back again and spend atleast a week there.
However one should be careful not to venture out in the evening or in unknown places as some parts of Koraput are naxal affected and strangers might run into serious problems if adequate precautions are not taken. better to be safe, not to be too adventurous and seek local help for going around.
