This is a quaint old fashioned inn with character yet all modern amenities and comforts. The staff including the staff at their restaurant where we had dinner and the staff serving the breakfast included in the morning were pleasant and the food esp breakfast very generous including hot breakfast made to order
The Glenside is located in beautiful countryside just 1.2 mi from Drogheda and 3.1 mi from the beach at Bettystown. There is a bar, a la carte restaurant and free parking.

There is a real homely atmosphere - the bed was really comfortable and the staff were locals who were really friendly and helpful. The I had breakfast and dinner both nights and it was fantastic

Wonderful staff. Great property - has a lot of tradition, but really current too! You can tell it’s in the ‘heart’ of the City and fully supported by locals, as well. Food was great.

There was a nice walking trail around the property and good breakfast.

Arthur and Michele were wonderful. They had extras for us that we had inquired about. We felt right at home like we were visiting relatives. Really appreciated everything!

Best placed accommodation is Dalys for Newgrange, Battle of the Boyne, Melifont Abbey, all near Drogheda, Only 10 mins to Drogheda centre by taxi or eat in Dalys & enjoy the bar at night, sometimes live music on Saturday night.
Donore only a small village but a good base without the hassle of parking in Drogheda.

Perfect location for historical sites, battle of the Boyne, newgrange, knowth and douwth burial grounds, only 7 mins away, ten minutes from Drogheda for great shopping and great value for money. Local people are fantastic craic and local pub great food and atmosphere
