Baltimore harbour was beautiful and wild during the storm when we arrived. The next day all was calm and sunny, so we enjoyed the village and it's very nice restaurants.
The vegetarian pizza + fresh fish and chips in Jacobs was delicious.
So was the burgers in the Algier Inn.
There is even a 2 Michelin Star restaurant if you are foodie
We hope to come back during the summer to go whale watching and explore Cape Clear.

We stayed one night basically to stay at a place away from a city and nearer the sea. Quaint town, but did not have time for excursions…ate dinner at a nice restaurant out of town a short way from Rathmore House recommended by the house owner, called An Siben.

Wonderful view of the bay and islands.
Wonderful view of the bay and islands. Boat trip to Sherkin Is. and Cape Clear highly recommended. Please pick up rubbish and loose string as it can damage seagulls.
It is easy to get around except when the town is full!
Stayed in the quadruple room which was very spacious. Very comfortable beds, slept great. Rianne was a perfect host - had tons of local info, left brownies/cake for us in the room and was very attentive overall! Nice clean property. Breakfast each morning was perfect.
Couldn’t ask for anything more. Ideal place to stay in Baltimore 2 min walk from the waterfront. Hope to be back again
Loved the seclusion of the lodges, yet only a few yards from the main hotel and all its amenities.Food was excellent (especially the breakfast).,Fabulous views of the harbour from the outdoor dining area at the rear.Staff were also polite and obliging.
Less than 10 mins walk to the harbour/village
The owner was very welcoming and kind. Rathmore House is situated in one of my favourite parts of Ireland, with beautiful scenery around. I have visited Baltimore before but we stayed elsewhere but this was a very pleasant stay this time.
Lovely old farmhouse setting in a more secluded location in Baltimore, within easy walking distance of the harbour and some sightseeing spots. Breakfast was delicious, hot food cooked to order and a small continental selection.
