Pleasant small town on the brink of becoming a culture place...
Pleasant small town on the brink of becoming a culture place to visit in March 2025, worth a visit for the fantastic beach, a few cafe/tea shops. A new pub opened about 10 weeks done up very tastefully in old memorabilia worth a visit. Housing is in good supply and developing all the time.
Other spots worth a visit: Icecream shop at the harbour. LaLa restaurant of the delicious food & lovely gardens. Pleasant walks.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very tasty and the restaurant was comfortable. We enjoyed a good nights rest in a comfortable, clean and fairly spacious room. The hotel is close to the train station and allows for easy access to Dublin. There is also an underground car park at the hotel. It was very good value for money. I would stay again if I wished to spend a few days in and around Dublin or Co. Meath.

Balbriggan is an ongoing developing town that will progress...
Balbriggan is an ongoing developing town that will progress to becoming a place to visit for art, music, and culture. There are a few quirky cafes on or close to the main street. This is a town awaiting development.
We ate in the Lala restaurant, an exceptional meal with delicious food. It provided a simplistic choice of 5 starters, and 5 mains to suit all palates. Both the braised lamb and the Seabass were complimented perfectly with tasty sauces allowing the discerning wine drinker to choose either red or white wine.
The wine list was short and provided an excellent choice to match the food available. Although the overall experience was excellent, there may be scope to add a cheese board for those diners who do not eat dessert or prefer a savory finish to their meal.

Balbriggan was our last stop.
Balbriggan was our last stop. This was our fourth trip to Ireland. The town seemed depressed and run down. There were boarded up shops and most of the town needed fresh paint. People weren't as friendly and seemed distrusting. There was "community watch" in tact and the community was extremely diverse. Ireland is always grand no matter what, but I would not slot this town on my itinerary again.

Balbriggan is a lovely town outside Dublin .
Balbriggan is a lovely town outside Dublin . The beautiful sea surrounds it and I love hearing the sea gulls. Lots of amenities and shops there and it was nice and quiet at night time, to sleep in . Not too far from Dublin City Centre .
This hotel deserves superlatives. Friendly, helpful staff; clean, comfortable room tastefully but individually decorated; exceptional breakfast menu [included in the room price] served in the adjoining La La restaurant. Good parking space. Walking distance (or inexpensive taxi ride) from the railway station. Quiet location but within a few minutes walk of the main shopping street. Bus stop 2-3 minutes walk away.
Hotel met all our needs.
All the Staff were very hospitable, professional and kind.
Would highly recommend stay.
On return to Dublin, will be returning to Braken Court Hotel.
