The apartment was warm, the hostess fired up the stove for our arrival.
It is a nice town. We are planning on going back for the festival. There are other things to see. The Izsum was very interesting along with the museum falu. There are some nice paths to walk along the stream that runs through town. There are some long bike paths available. It is big enough to spend a long weekend but small enough to walk about everywhere. It is easy to get there by train.

4-5 days was sufficient. We used the city as a base to travel to Sopron (train travel is free for pensioners). In the city there were places to visit showing the history of the town and a lovely lake about 30 minutes (walk) to the northwest of the city centre.

A really vibrant place to stay, especially whilst the Christmas market is taking place. (Nice langos and mulled wine available until quite late in the evening!) We would recommend the Italian restaurant "Aperitivo Cafe Bar" just off the main square - great, fresh food and reasonably priced.

The town and its Savaria Festival are great, plus the several gorgeous spas close to Szombathely, a lot to discover!!!! Lake and huge playground close to Hotel Claudius are fabulous, ideal with children. Try the Dock's kitchen, it is great!

Really enjoyed this city, which has quite a few attractions to offer. City center is very nice, with some great shops. Looks great both during the night and during daytime. They have a unique synagogue and across it a reconstructed archeological site / museum based on the ruins of ancient Savaria, the Roman city that stood here. The city also has a will with probably a nice view of the city, unfortunately we missed that. If you happen to visit the city in August, make sure to plan your trip for the Savaria Historical Carnival.
This place was awesome. It is right on the main square of the city. it was only about a five minute walk to the excellent Iseum Savarinese and also Savaria Museum.
The Art Deco decor is really cool and very creative.
The room was extremely comfortable.
Excellent pre-arrival communications from the host.
Metered parking was close and convenient.
The city is beautiful and we highly recommended the Art HoMe as a great play to stay.
The staff was very helpful and kind. The room looked over the square with beautiful high ceilings and a comfortable feel.
Everything in walking distance and easily reachable.
Breakfast was included and was provided by Lipoti Pékség in the square. Great options in a beautiful newly remodeled cafe.
The ice cream stand in front of the hotel also belongs to the owners. Great people with a kind heart and a very strong work ethic.

Desk reception is available till 22:00, the owner/manager of the hotel was very helpful in arranging the room entrance after the reception was closed

Good hotel close to the main square of the city and walkable to monuments. Train station is 20 minutes walking. The hotel is in a nice building, the room was big with view to the town hall ans its square and was comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was very good. Good wifi. Nice staff. In the area you can find places to eat, besides the hotel restaurant.
Clean, comfortable, parking places in front of the hotel, in a park. Very good window isolation - the near road is not bothering at all. The restaurant of the hotel was not working, but I was told for a restaurant 3 min walking distance, so it was not a problem. If I have to stay in the area I would come back in this hotel.

Wonderfully convenient hotel beside main square close to the Isis temple, the Romkert ruins, the bank, cafes. I liked having a ground floor room, since this small hotel has no elevator. I ate twice at their restaurant which was good value and had fish and vegetarian selections (I don't eat meat or chicken).
Following criterias I liked very much: - Location vicinity to my business location and as well to Szombathely, calm area not much traffic, no noise. Unexceptional price level, room was clean, friendly welcome.
The most important I did sleep very well.
location was good, it was smack in the middle of Szombathely. Nothing more than that to tell, host was very pleasant and generous person. We had a parting spot offered which allowed to car to be parked in a private place.
The hotel has free parking on site. Dogs welcome. Located close to a lake with nice walking path. Its about 20 minutes walk to city center. Rooms are comfortable. Breakfast is tasty. Friendly staff, good English.

Very nice place with beautiful panoramic view. Everything was fine. There is no restaurant at the hotel, but we were redirected to the wonderful restaurant closeby with delicious food.
