There is nothing to see, just Balaton lake. But, for us that was the reason to come since we wanted to avoid any outside activities. Just wanted to do be in the hotel and enjoy in SPA! Will come back for sure!

Keszthely is well worth the trip.
Keszthely is well worth the trip. It has an historical town centre, more than one beach, a stately home with interesting museums including a fabulous model railway facility and the beautiful gardens are free to stroll through or sit on one of the many available benches. There were plenty of eating places, which are reasonably priced and the area is well serviced by buses and trains.

This is a tourist town, but not as crowded as those on the south of the lake. It is advertised as a medieveal town but there was little sign of this. However, it was a pleasant place to be with good beches, and the restaurants were OK if you chose carefully.

An unexpectably charming town on lake Balaton.
An unexpectably charming town on lake Balaton. There are some amazing parks, the whole town is very clean and full of flowers. People are friendly and many speak at least some English or German. Not all restaurants are open in October, but there are many places where you can taste amazing local foods. The place is a heaven for people who love museums, and the church and the castle are breathtaking. If you like cycling or water sports then you will find many interesting activities by the lake where you can also find a Ferris wheel and see the town from a little different perspective.

Nice and cosy town located far away (by European scales) from big cities. Good place to have a rest and enjoy the Balaton lake with a family and kids. All beaches are in very good conditions and are not very deep. So, it may be even a problem to swim for adults)
Have you no kids you may also find a lot of attractions in and around the city: palaces, small streets and restaurants in the old city center, castels, souvenir markets, local wineries, thermal batches.
A beautiful apartment for a visit to this charming part of Hungary. It had everything you need for a short or long stay. The host was great to work with. The wifi was strong and the place was impeccably clean. We were happy to have a dedicated parking spot with easy in and out access. The town/Waterfront are close enough for walking (15 minutes) and the neighborhood is great to stroll around. Overall a great stay
The hotel looked a little tired on first glance, however once inside it was very nice and clean. Staff friendly and polite.
Bedroom looked virtually brand new and everything spotless. Hotel very close to both Lake Balaton and the town centre.
The town centre had plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. Nice relaxing few days and we will stay there again. Car parking on site for a daily small fee.
Location close to the "Libás Strand" beach, in a quiet neighborhood. The apartment is really spacious, we were 4 friends staying there, but can accommodate more people. There is a kitchen, 2 bathrooms and a central living room with a terrace, everything you need for a comfortable stay. The center of Keszthely is about 15mins walk away. Good value for the price.
Very clean, spaceous room, modern facility overall, very friendly and supporting owner and family. We very much enjoyed the pool at our stay in hot summer. The owner was super supportive and we also enjoyed the bicycles that we could borrow to cycle around the lake, the numerous beaches, events and sights.

Beautiful location, very private and quiet, close to the beaches. The apartment was nice, with a clean modern design. It has a terrace with a beautiful view of the lake and the sailboats. The owner was nice and flexible with the check in, as we arrived late, after the reception time. She also gave us very clear information about the location.
Cöean and spacious rooms, clean bathroom, good breakfast and good location, 5 minutes walking to the Keszthely jetty and beach area but also at a walkable distance to the palace and city centre. Mr. Moritz, the owner is a very nice person and took very good care of us. Super value for money place and highly recommended.
Beautiful view (we had a room facing the lake) in a cosy room, for dinner every day different food, excellent and tasty food, friendly staff, fun room with games (billiard, table hockey, football,..), spa facilities with healing water, different events at the hotel, we rented e-bikes and biked around the lake.
Beautiful location for both the lake, biking around & also sightseeing in Keszthely & nearby. Our room was a good size with nice seating area both in the room as well as on the balcony. Comfortable accommodation. Breakfast was varied & tasty. Dinner selection was also tasty with good selection each night.

If you arrive without a car, you'll need to walk a bit to get to the next beach ( ~ 10 min) or to the train station ( ~ 25 min). The city center is roughly a half-an-hour walk away, and there are great places to eat within this distance. A grocery shop is nearby.

Great location in the heart of Keszthely. The host welcomed us at the door and provided us with the keys and all the information we may have needed. The rooms were cozy and clean with wifi and a small fridge. The attached bathroom was also clean and in working order.
We loved everything about Hotel Bacchus! The staff was attentive, the room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was amazing, and the location was perfect. We really enjoyed the wine museum and renting the bikes on-site.
