Hotel Minaret&Étterem, hotel in Eger

This property is 9 minutes walk from the beach. Facing the Ottoman-period minaret or the Castle of Eger, the rooms at Hotel Minaret&Étterem come with private bathroom, satellite TV, a fridge and free...

The hotel is a filthy infection bomb. It's nothing you can appreciate there. 1. They tried to bill us before arrival even if it's mentioned that you have nothing to pay in advance. 2. The room (double) was under the roof, no air, hot, full of old furniture in bad condition. 3. The fridge was out of order (water inside and on the floor) 4. Found one hair on the sink in the bathroom, the sink faucet was rusty 5. Old towels in bad condition 6. Lights worked partially 7. Problems to close the door 8. The receptionists didn't say hello The biggest issue is the filth. The rooms are stinking. I've never imagined that this still exists in a European country. Booked 3 days, stayed 2, all hotels were booked because of the Eger wine fair but I wanted to get out after 2 minutes. It was a torture to stay there.

Enjoyed the thermal baths and the valley of beautiful women, but the castle museum was a bit of a letdown. Definitely wouldn't spend more than one night here, but could even just pass through it for a short visit on the way to somewhere else.

We made the mistake of coming during the winter, we really wanted to enjoy nature in the mountains and to visit the national park. Due to weather conditions we couldn't do much and the national park was closed. The steam train nearby was also closed. It's a cute village to visit, i bet it is more beautiful during spring/summer/autumn.

Korona hotel was a good experience. Good location in the city. Good and comfortable rooms. The SPA department was really good. The wine tasting down in the tunnels deep under the hotel was an experience with a wine knowledgeable guide who spoke perfect English. Booked with half board and the food was very good. Next time I'm in Hungary/Budapest, I'll probably go to Eger for a few days and stay at the Korona hotel just because it was so nice and relaxing. Also visited their Beatles museum which is worth a visit.

The hotel is more beautiful in reality than in the pictures. The owners of the hotel are a kind and welcoming couple. The cabins were small but clean and equipped. The cabins are in a beautiful and huge garden with hammocks hanging between the trees, and places to sit . Inside the garden there is an organic garden that the owners of the place cultivate and let me sample the wonderful tomatoes they grow. There is an air conditioner, which is excellent and definitely not typical for Hungary.

The owner is super kind, everything as we agreed. Beautifully renovated, the furniture and bed are new, big and really comfortable, really way too convenient. BIIIIG balcony!!! :) They give a parking card, so you have a place in front of the building, and you don't have to pay for parking in your whole vacation there! The city bath is on the roads other side ;) I'll never choose another place in Eger!

Definitely 11/10! Kinga & Attila are great hosts and give the personal touch. Everything was great. Very nice and clean room with A/C working very well. Hearthy brekafast with a lot of options to choose from. Very convenient private parking lot. Attila gave us some dining recommendations and they were spot on! Overall, when in Eger again, we will definitely choose Herbstyle Minihotel.

Great location in Eger. Wonderful host and staff. Perfect for a family or group of friends hanging out for a longer stay. Has a kitchenette and an outdoor patio. They bring you fresh cold cuts and coffee every morning. Locked parking space worked well. Owner runs the cafe next door, so easy to pop by for a coffee or ice cream.
