Lovely town with lots of flowers and trees, very clean, tidy and safe even in the evening. Not loud even in the evening was very quiet near the beach. Preferred Kisfaludy beach (strand). Less crowded and a bit cheaper, also more facilities and better quality/selection of food. Borcsa restaurant has great food and service.

Nice place, you have a lot of restaurants, hotels on all levels starting from street food up until fine dining and top hotels next to the lake. Also shopping is quite fine and you have a great set of activities as well you can do. Hiking and other activities are also possible. Great holiday and weekend getaway location.

Great location to also visit other place on the north side...
Great location to also visit other place on the north side of the lake. We visited Veszprem, Tihany, Heviz, and Keszthely. Lots of beaches close by, our kids really liked Csopak strand and Alsóörs. Balatonfured itself is great for the walk along the boardwalk with all the stalls selling stuff and the tour boat rides in the evening.

The perfect place to visit lake Balaton with your family. The nightlife is not as other parts of Balaton, like for example Siofok, but it is perfect if you vacation with your children and want a calm, safe and relaxing environment friendly for children.

Unforgettable XIX century atmosphere with good Hungarian fish, pork and cow food. Taste the Bagameri icecream, it is the best icecream next to the Lake. If you want to learn and do sailing on the lake Balatonfüred is the perfect location.
Location was favorable for a congress. Rooms are clean, non-smoking, comfortable bed, desk for preparing presentations. I appreciated the breakfast and dinner included in my reservation. The staff is super friendly. There are always some athletes staying in this Sport Hotel and there's an adjacent pools the guests have access to, but I had no time to check them out. Pools looked clean and tidy otherwise. Despite the presence of a bunch of young athletes, there were no problems with sleeping in the room.
The service was absolutely fantastic. We were upgraded for free at check in as they had some nicer rooms available than the one that we had booked. We loved the made to order breakfast each morning and the pool and loungers area was really nice to have. The hotel was a very short walk from the marina. You could tell that the staff took a lot of pride in their hotel. Would absolutely stay here again if I was to ever return to the area.
My host....I do not know how to spell her name, was charming and so very welcoming. She was ever so gracious and helpful...even offering to do laundry. She also offered me a choice of rooms to stay in, and as well, recommended restaurants and wineries to tour. The recommendations were wonderful experiences! I could not have been more pleased that I chose to stay at Pension Balatonfured. Thank you!!
Everything was perfect. The owner is very nice. The place is clean and perfect for 4 people. I traveled with my mom, we were only two of us, but the place is perfect for four people. The lake is a little far from there, but we really enjoyed walking - so it's still within walking distance. We were satisfied with everything, and we will definitely return if we visit Füred again. Super new appartment, Good airco/fast wifi/bath/private parking. appartment has balcony and many windows that can open. Actually it was better than our house. If you can book, book quickly. Excellent bakery closeby, supermarket spar walkable. owner reacts very fast on questions via app. we drove to annagora aquaparkt, next day to Kisfaludy beach. had two great days at Balatonfured.
The accommodation is located in a lovely quiet area of Balatonfured, very safe and the host was extremely helpful and we really appreciated his assistance upon our arrival and departure. The room was clean, well-equipped and the supermarket was located only 8 min away. The beach was also fairly close, just a short walk away. I would recommend the accommodation and the location.
Nice simple hotel that is very close to a beach. The staff was very nice and spoke english. The room was clean and had everything that we needed and, as a bonus, even a small fridge which we did not expect. The bathroom looked modern and was very clean. Finally, the breakfast was good and offered many choices to eat, which was really great at this price.
the location was fantastic - just a very short walk from everything, including Balatonfured's delightful promenade and quay. The building was magnificent, with a lovely inner courtyard. The apartment was small but nicely kitted out with four of everything and just enough space for a family of 4 with the kids on the sofa bed.
Price for money - exeptional. Although it's an aging hotel the rooms and the facilities are well cleaned and maintained. The rooms are nice and adequately equipped. The location of the hotel is excellent. Food was tasty and there is a plenty of choice between local and international dishes.
The hotel is at the end of the Tagore promenade, the area is beautiful and tidy, you can reach the city center within a walking distance. The building is a bit reminiscent of my childhood, but the accommodation was clean and the staff was very nice.
Very friendly hosts, nice idyllic location of Balatonfüred. Lake Promenade at 10 min walking distance, Aldi and Train Station just opposite the property, comfortable car parking. We loved the quiet serene setting..a great getway from city hustle..
Its location is just perfect if you enjoy the view of the lake and the sailing boats. There are restaurants, cafes, bars, and a harbor nearby. There is live music in a restaurant in the evening, which we considered more positive than disturbing.
Quality of facilities, concierge service and the pools. Rita, our sommelier, was knowledgeable and wonderful and the receptionists went above and beyond when we asked for help and guidance. Definitely recommend the hotel!
