Lovely town with lots of flowers and trees, very clean, tidy and safe even in the evening. Not loud even in the evening was very quiet near the beach. Preferred Kisfaludy beach (strand). Less crowded and a bit cheaper, also more facilities and better quality/selection of food. Borcsa restaurant has great food and service.

Nice place, you have a lot of restaurants, hotels on all levels starting from street food up until fine dining and top hotels next to the lake. Also shopping is quite fine and you have a great set of activities as well you can do. Hiking and other activities are also possible. Great holiday and weekend getaway location.

Great location to also visit other place on the north side...
Great location to also visit other place on the north side of the lake. We visited Veszprem, Tihany, Heviz, and Keszthely. Lots of beaches close by, our kids really liked Csopak strand and Alsóörs. Balatonfured itself is great for the walk along the boardwalk with all the stalls selling stuff and the tour boat rides in the evening.

The perfect place to visit lake Balaton with your family. The nightlife is not as other parts of Balaton, like for example Siofok, but it is perfect if you vacation with your children and want a calm, safe and relaxing environment friendly for children.

Unforgettable XIX century atmosphere with good Hungarian fish, pork and cow food. Taste the Bagameri icecream, it is the best icecream next to the Lake. If you want to learn and do sailing on the lake Balatonfüred is the perfect location.
Location was favorable for a congress. Rooms are clean, non-smoking, comfortable bed, desk for preparing presentations. I appreciated the breakfast and dinner included in my reservation. The staff is super friendly. There are always some athletes staying in this Sport Hotel and there's an adjacent pools the guests have access to, but I had no time to check them out. Pools looked clean and tidy otherwise. Despite the presence of a bunch of young athletes, there were no problems with sleeping in the room.
The accommodation is in an extremely good location. View of Lake Balaton from the room amazing. Parking is free next to the building. The temperature of the room was pleasant, there was no one in the building apart from us.
The best cafes and restaurants in the area, we took a great walk on the beach.
Balatonfured is a very pleasant settlement, where you can relax, drink wine, take a walk, go hiking, not only in the summer, but also outside of it.
I recommend Fisher's to everyone :)
This was our first time visiting Hungary and we were pleasantly surprised. Hotel from outside looks kind of old, however you can see that the owner was trying to invest and renew the hotel rooms and surroundings. Breakfast was very good all the time, for lunch you can take some fish etc. at the beach restaurant and dinner was also tasty.
The top of this hotel, except the huge lake, is the kids aquapark. It's nicely done and our child had so much fun!

The service was absolutely fantastic. We were upgraded for free at check in as they had some nicer rooms available than the one that we had booked. We loved the made to order breakfast each morning and the pool and loungers area was really nice to have. The hotel was a very short walk from the marina. You could tell that the staff took a lot of pride in their hotel. Would absolutely stay here again if I was to ever return to the area.
Owners were very Front-of-House, friendly and informative of facilities and sight-seeing / tourist attractions in the area. The location of the hotel was very convenient for local attractions and good road links to other areas. It was also only an easy fifteen minute walk down to the lake-side and local shopping / restaurant areas. The Accommodation itself was charming, characterful and well maintained. Thoroughly recommended.

Centrally located hotel directly at the promenade. In the autumn it was very quiet. The room was comfortable and clean. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner, they even provided us with gluten free options, no-lactose milk, so we were happy despite food allergies.
