Very very dirty beaches, crowded beaches covered with sunbeds without the possibility of free access. Sun Fish Tiki bar on the beach is the dirtiest of all, garbage literally piles up between the sunbeds
Plus: sea water, food, beach bars (Cocones), tavernas (La Flegra, George, En Plo).
Minus: narrow beach, crowded (in july), damaged ugly pavement on some streets.
Tip: for weekend make reservation for sunbeds the day before.

Polychrono is a lovely village with one of the nicest promenades in halkidiki, with a great variety of places to eat and drink - many with tables on the beach itself. Lovely atmosphere - relaxed and friendly. Great for families and couples who enjoy spending their evenings walking the promenade, a nice meal and chilling with a drink or two in beautifully decorated bars.
Much better beaches to be had in halkidiki, but polychrono beach is typical of many town beaches in halkidiki. You definitely need a car to explore the area - afitos was nearby and is a stunning village and makes for a great evening out. Sani beach is stunning and possidi is worth a visit.

The place is perfect for a family vacation with small kids, it is quiet, the beach and water are perfect, and there are several markets close by wherever your apartment is located. Doctor of Hunger is a great place to eat at. :)

We had really a great experience at the nice and friendly family hotel. It was clean and very good value. You should ask the family for beach and food recommendations. Really great holidays! Wish it would have been longer :-)
Even before coming to the hotel we had good communication with the host and he personally meet us when we arrived. Hotel is in a great location, just beside the main road and couple of minutes away from the beach. The room was tidy and spacious, and the kitchen was equipped with everything you might need during your stay. The pool was big, clean and there were always free sunbeds under umbrellas. Also the AC was free of charge. Even thought there were families with small children in apartments next to ours it was quiet.
Excellent location, in the hurt od Polichrono. The garden is so beutifull. The apartmen is wide, very clean with beutifull balcony with pool view. Every apartmen has two balcony, one from the apartman and the other in front of apartman. We are realy enjoyed our stay and we will come again.
The owner Vasili is very frandly and professional man. He gave us all necessery informations about our stay in Halkidiki.

Nice boutique hotel in the center of Polychrono just right at the beach. The hotel is brand new with the latest standards, nice and helpful personnel. The restaurant area at the breakfast exceeded our expectations, congrats to all the personnel keeping up the area always neat and tidy. The Amfora restaurant has great dishes at an affordable price. We really liked that all of their food is available at the beach area as well. Special thanks to Terry at the beach, all his work was exceptional.
Nikol's house - our favourite place to stay in Greece from now on. We are absolutely satisfied with everything and we had everything we needed, including great wifi, a garden and a parking spot just for our car. Beach, market, bakery, pharmacy, everything is nearby. Amazing stay. Small quite and relaxing hotel hosted by two great owners, Lazarus and Irina. The staff were super nice as well. Service was top notch. Most of all very clean.
Room was big enough with a sofa and a balcony to enjoy a drink. Also, plenty of electric sockets which normally lack in hotels.
Breakfast was very good and the restaurant atmosphere is very peaceful and enjoyable.
Wished we could stay longer.
We spent a really wonderful time at the apartment. The apartment is spacious and equipped with all necessary things. We particularly enjoyed the balcony with the sea view and the beautiful swimming pool.

Hotel was wonderful, within a minute walk from the beach. Breakfast is great with good variety but the dinner is really something else. The selection of ingredients and the simplicity of mediterranean cuisine is what really makes the entire experience special. Lazaros an Irini are welcoming and friendly and always open to give you some guidance or advice on where to go and what to see.
Amazing boutique hotel. As for the room, the mattress is a premium category and the top layer takes off the sleeping experience. Everything was very clean and the room and pool towels were very soft. The staff was very kind and made you feel like home. Finally, breakfast is based on healthy choices and has a great variety. Petros and Penny we will come back soon!
One of the best hotels I ever stayed in!! The hotel was brand new and very clean. Meri Leka and the other staff made sure our stay was exceptional. I definitely recommend you to visit the hotel. It had everything you could think of from the bar, to the pool and everything you can think off. We also got free wine in our room. It was perfect!

The property is spotless clean and there's a daily exceptional cleaning service. Everything you might need is replaced, including the the coffee capsules. The experience is more like a hotel than an apartment. Location is great too, all the shops, restaurants and beaches are walking distance.

The hotel is decorated in a "simple" traditional village style which immediately takes you away from bustling cities. And of course warm rather shallow sea with mostly sand bottom. Small and rather clean sandy beach is about 3 min to go from your room in the hotel.
I loved this hotel. It was everything I wanted for a beach holiday. Very comfortable room, super breakfast with nice choices. Near to the beach and the restaurants and they are so friendly. It was a joy from start to finish.
The brakfast was nice, you could always find what you like. Mosquito nets were present, which is very important and not always available. We liked the 24 h availability of ice cold water in the hall of the hotel.
