I've been alltogether over 2 years in Naxos (Chora) and rented house for 6 months many years ago. I love the island, but now got a feeling, that it is getting the next "hot-spot" for tourists like Paros has done (lived in Paros over 15 years)!
Avoid taxi in the port - they are mostly thieves!

We loved Naxos! The vibe of the town is just great.
We loved Naxos! The vibe of the town is just great. The tavernas serve good food. We enjoyed the full day bus tour of the island and was able to visit the temple of Apolo and the castle on foot from where we stayed near St Georgios beach. We also visited two other sandy beaches (15 and 30 minutes by bus from town) which were really nice.

It was such a great vibe all day and all night.
It was such a great vibe all day and all night. Really felt like you were in another world with the Greek music playing and people bustling around. Loved the quaint little shops, every where you looked was a photo opportunity - it's really that beautiful. We loved the walking food and wine tour we did so much!! The catamaran cruise we went on was over the top. We loved Capones Restaurant for many reasons!! The ferry and bus processes were very easy to navigate. We loved the many pastry, gelato and waffle eateries. We love that they source mostly their own local grown foods. If you visit Greece, you have to make a stop in Naxos!!

Very nice port town with lots of variety for restaurants and shops. The Portara was an interesting in-town historical site. Agios Georgios is a nice beach and there were other swimming areas around the port as well. Very walkable area.

Wonderful island and town. Most accommodations nearby and within walking distance. St. Georges Beach is right there and other beaches and towns accessible by car.

It is busy and quite commercialised but local people helpful. The harbour is small and nice to walk along - it gets busy at night and vibrant. I liked the old market area. It is easy to get lost in but you’ll find your way out. Apollo gate has great sunsets. I felt safe as a single traveller.
The accommodation is perfect. Exceptionally clean, beautifully designed, unique and very new and modern. In a lovely quiet countryside setting with beautiful sea views and spectacular sunsets. Still extremely close to Naxos Chora and all amenities you would require.
Extremely warm welcome from the host and family. They couldn't do enough to please you. Paradise! We cannot fault this accommodation or host.
The apartment is newly renovated but traditional style, immaculately clean with everything you could need. Very comfortable, great shower, bathroom etc. the location is magical, within Naxos Castle, it is a very unique experience to stay here! Karmen was so welcoming and provided lots of helpful information for exploring Naxos Chora and beyond. I loved this place and will stay here again without a doubt.

The staff at Fragias studios is exceptional. I was impressed by their professionalism. They were always kind and willing to help. The rooms and the hotel in general was very clean, smelling amazing. The breakfast corner that is always available to the guest is a plus! It is a highly recommended place that I will go back at with pleasure!
