The apartment had everything a person could need - very thoughtful hosts. Also, the smell of the orange blossoms in the adjacent orange orchard was a lovely surprise. Very comfortable and modern.

We recently stayed a few days in Aura House and absolutely loved it! The apartment was comfortable and spotlessly clean, with everything we needed to feel right at home. The decoration inside and outside, especially the picnic area, was lovely.
Parking was super convenient with a spacious spot right outside the door behind a secure fence. The location was perfect for visiting Mycenae, Nafplio, Argos, Corinth, and other great spots nearby.
The best part was our lovely host. She left us a generous breakfast with artisanal Easter cookies, fresh fruit, and eggs from her garden. We met her wonderful family, and she even made us a delicious vegetarian lunch and often brought fresh fruit. We felt like we were visiting family and we are extremely grateful for their generosity and hospitality.
We had a fantastic time, a truly enriching human experience, and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Greece!

Very handy for Mycenae acropolis plus within easy reach of many other ancient sites - Nemea, the Argive Heraion, Dendra cemetery, Tiryns, Argos town, Midea, etc. Lots of advice on ancient sites and opening times. We also got specialist advice on walks from the hotel to outstanding rock-cut and Tholos tombs nearby that the package crowd don't see. Dinner at the hotel (not Sunday), plus there are 4 or 5 tavernas in the village (which is quiet after the coaches leave for the day).

The proximity to Mycenae is, of course, the primary reason to stay in Mykines. Accessing the site before the arrival of all the tourist buses, or especially enjoying the site later in the day (best light) after their departure, is wonderful. The town itself is small, simple, and geared primarily to service tourism. With that said, its actual location lends itself well to exploring the entire region in a convenient way.
