Wanda is a great host and looks after the apartments well. We liked being a few km from the coast , great views, quiet and a cooling breeze. If you get a taxi to the top of the Agia Irini gorge you can walk back direct to Spiti Mas. Not too far away (about 30 metres) is a lovely restaurant serving proper Cretan food with a smile.
Offering a traditional restaurant and a sun terrace, the family-run Porofarago is located in Sougia, just 30 metres from the entrance to Agia Eirini Gorge. Free WiFi access is available in all areas.

A lovely quiet family run hotel, the staff were very friendly and helpful. If there was anything one needed such as the makings of a cup of tea,it could usually be provided by reception.
If you are looking for somewhere in the midst of noisy nightlife, this is not the place for you. We stayed two days and it was very peaceful. We drove there and so had a car to explore the surrounding area. Polyrrhinia is well worth a visit.
The breakfast if not included can be bought for €10 per person and is well worth it.
I gather the hotel was the first in Kissamos, built in 1979, Galini means ‘peace’ in Greek, and it’s absolutely the right name for the hotel. It is on the edge of Kissamos, go visit before it all changes.
Castell Hotel is located in Kissamos, within 400 metres of Telonio Beach and less than 1 km of Mavros Molos Beach.

This apartment had plenty of space, the bed was comfortable and there was a huge downstairs area. The salt water pool out the back looked great (I didn't get a chance to use it) and it was really close to the beach and to local villages and Tavernas. Gregory was really welcoming and helped me with some extra pillows.
