The hotel is situated right on the beachfront about a 10 minute walk from the bus stop. The attached restaurant sits between the hotel and the beach. If you eat in the restaurant you can use the beach sunbeds free of charge. 10 euros a bed otherwise. The restaurant food and staff was great and I would highly recommend. The hotel was modern, clean and air-conditioned. Although our room was on the small side (it was only 80 Euros in June) it did have a lovely comfy bed, a balcony facing the courtyard, a fridge for drinks and was perfect for what we wanted for the price. Pool towels were available for free with a 10 euro deposit per towel which was refunded when the towels were returned. The pool was lovely, just at the front of the hotel overlooking the restaurants and beach (all the hotels on 'the strip' had pools in this position). I would highly recommend this hotel.
Facing the beachfront, Arion Bay Hotel Santorini offers 3-star accommodation in Kamari and has a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, garden and shared lounge.

Fantastic hosts. The hotel is a family run establishment in a great location near the amenities in Kamari, and has a very friendly and welcoming
atmosphere. All of the staff were exceptionally kind and accommodating, especially the owner Illyas and his daughter Eleneya. The breakfast was great (though they did occasionally run out of scrambled eggs!), and the room had fantastic views over the pool and to the beach. Highly recommended.

A well-equipped, pleasant resort around the beach with fine black gravel. If I were planning a holiday by the sea, I would choose a classic beach with fine white, cream or yellow sand. The beach promenade is a pleasant place with plenty of seating options in beach bars and restaurants.

Kamari is a more rocky beach, but just put some water shoes on and you will be fine. The people are very nice. The food and shopping choices offer a variety (unlike some of the other beaches). I would recommnet AlFresco and Alismari restaurants along the boardwalk in Kamari beach. The Irish Pub has great beer and ciders! There are ATV's you can rent/skiing/boat trips/day trips from Kamari to explore the island and go to other islands, as well. One day trip offers to see the sunset in Oia-this is very pretty! Maglorchi is a great town to visit-a must see is the Museum of the Lost Atlantis!!! Great 9D theater!!! After seeing the museum, head over to the Akrotiri archeaological site! Another is Ancient Thira site/museum-great ways to learn the history here! Lots of great history here! Overall, this is a great getaway place for a summer vacation!

Kamari had a range of great restaurants, and is an easily walkable town. Lovely bars and shops but much a nice quiet atmosphere compared to Oia etc.
One thing to be aware of is that the buses can often be late and attract huge queues, they had left people behind when I was there, so if you are using this, be aware and allow extra travel time!

Kamari isn't Santorini that everyone expects to see, but you definitely feel this part of the city to be a real Greece. Also, it's just 20-30 mins drive from Fira, Oia or Vlychada, so, it's easy to get to any part of the island. The touristic area is arranged very well and it has a plenty of nice restaurants, bars and even a couple of decent stores. Also, this is the most children friendly part of the island despite that Santorini fits more to the couples and less to the families with kids. This is a good area to stay for someone who wants to see Santorini, but also to enjoy sunshine and to stay on the beach. Btw, the beach is lovely!

Kamari is on the east side of the island.
Kamari is on the east side of the island. It's away from all the busy places, such as Fira and Oia. We've visited both and would never want to stay there. If you go, check the Cruiseboat Checker app to see how many cruise boats there are.
Kamari is calmer and super friendly, has a strip with excellent restaurants and small boutique sips, and has the most friendly people. Prices are cheaper in Kamari, too.

Kamari may not have the caldera views but it offers a genuine Greek summer vacation experience. You can visit the caldera to have the experience and then return to Kamari which is a genuine Greek island village with its nice beach and numerous restaurants and cafes to choose from.
Fantastic experience here. We arrived early after taking red eye flights and Maria at check in gave us a room upgrade to get an early check in. She also gave us plenty of restaurant recommendations which we enjoyed. The rest of the staff were also very kind. The room was exceptional as well as the rest of the hotel. We really enjoyed the breakfast as everything was delicious. The location was great being steps away from the beach and a plethora of restaurant and stores. We would stay here again in a future trip to Santorini!
The room is with wonderful sea view and mighty mountain view. Location is great just next to Kamari beach and easy to go to the restaurants around. The room is very clean. Terry well arranged pick up shuttle for us to the lodging. 5 minutes walking to bus stop to go to Fira. Terry gave us useful advices during our stay like where to rent a scooter to visit Red Beach and go to Light House to watch beautiful sunset. Kamari is the most impressive place to stay in Santorini for us. Definitely will come back again next time.
The swimming pool space made our stay a 10! And the warm family who run the hotel made us feel at home. They are so lovely and helpful. They explained all our doubts, solved a few things we were struggling with and were available all the time. The rooms are simple but super clean and big and the balcony was very nice and comfortable as well. There is a big supermarket 8 mins from the flat and a small one 100mt and same thing with the bus stops. If I went back to Santorini I would go back to Alkyon. Thanks a lot!
My flight was late and I arrived Santorini around 1:00am in the morning instead 10:00pm. Matt was so helpful and he even came to airport (at 1:00am! ) to guide me to property as my GPS was not working for my rented car. He ensured I'm settle comfortably after my terrible delayed flight travel. Matt and his wife was very helpful through out our stay.
The location of the property is very close to the airport and beautiful Kamari beach. Definitely I'll recommend my friends for the stay with Alafouzos studio.
We liked the architecture of the hotel, very beautiful and Santorinian-like. The staff was nice, although we had only two brief interactions due to our short stay (it was a 2-nights stay because of flight cancellation). The location is great - like 200 meters from the beach, plenty of grocery shops and restaurants nearby - we recommend Ariale Restaurant, down the street - amazing food, very good priced and friendly staff. The hotel is situated in an area where you can find everything you need, basically.
Probably one of the best places in the island, if you want to spend your days at the beach.
This was our first trip to Santorini, so we didn’t really know what location to choose. We wanted a reasonably priced apartment near the beaches and restaurants.
Leonidas was a great choice. Located in a quiet street parallel to the coast, offers you great access to shops, bars, restaurants, car rentals.
Superb cleanliness, nice garden view.
Highly recommended, and would definitively come again!
Super location, daily cleaned rooms (every day we have a new towels too) very nice personal and very tasty meals with breakfast. We also tryed two different reastaurants in Kamari but Kings restaurant was the best in promenade. We will deffinetely recommend this suits. Prizes were ok too, for meal aroud 15€. They have their own sunbeds and beach towels. Beach was very clean too, but we reccomend to buy special shoes to the sea.
Thank you Kings for our first stay in Santorini!
The hotel was great value for money and had a really nice greek feel with the decor. The staff were always friendly and helpful, the breakfast was very varied and the location was really close to the centre whilst also having a relaxed feel away from the crowds. You could always get a lounger and there were lots of different pool areas and options. All round great value compared to other 5 star resorts in Santorini and we would definitely recommend to others.
everything was perfect the location, the bedroom is comfortable clean and has a cute balcony you have everything you need
the owner are extremely nice people and helped me a lot with an issue I had (my luggage got lost by the airplane company)
I would totally recommend this place for your stay in santorini
the area is very nice the bus station is super close
there is a supermarket just next to the hotel and a lot of nice shops and restaurants
My partner and I had the best time staying in Kamari and especially in the Santellini Hotel. They had the friendliest of staff and the owner Martha was wonderful, she really made you feel welcome and at home with her delicious wish cake.
The pool area was kept very clean and we enjoyed the privacy of the upstairs sunlounge area.
The room size was great and the location couldn't have been better. We felt really sad to leave Santorini....
The decor and amenities were excellent. Everything was perfect for our stay. At the far end of the beach -- with private access to beach -- so felt secluded while being just a few steps away from the all that the beach community had to offer. Adriana went above and beyond in helping arrange transportation, and she nailed it with her dining recommendations. If we make it back to Santorini, Moschatos Beach House will be our first choice.
We had a late night flight, so we rented this room on our last day so we could store our luggage and shower before our flight. We also chose this hotel because it gave us access to beach towels and beach beds, and we just wanted a nice relaxing beach day on our last day. The price was really fair for all that we wanted and it met our expectations for all of these things. We also enjoyed checking out this side of Santorini.
We had the best time, the staff and the manager were always very kind and so helpful giving us all the information we needed and the best tips for our vacations in Santorini , our room was always clean and the pool also, the location of the hotel is amazing, in a quiet spot but so close to the beach and all the bars and restaurants of Kamari. Definitely recommended.
Great location, a minute from the beach. You have everything you need in the vicinity of the hotel (restaurants, shops, cafes ...). The staff is phenomenal, smiling, and meets all requirements.Excellent and varied breakfast. They also organized a great transfer from and to the airport. All recommendations for excellent accommodation on Santorini.
It was perfect holiday in Santorini and staying in Kamari Blue Waves was the best choice for us. We enjoyed the surrounding and the hotel amenities. Beach is in 3 min walk, hotel rooms are nice, kids enjoyed the pool a lot and hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. Thank you and we hope to return some day. We can highly recommend this place!
Great hotel located right in the center of Kamari. Very close to the black beach, there are many restaurants around. Very close to the bus stop, making it easy to get to all places in Santorini. The owner of the hotel was very nice and helpful. The rooms were clean. It was a great stay! :)
Our hosts was incredibly sweet and cheerful. We have some delicious homemade pastry every morning. They give us good advise for what to do and eat in Santorini. Room was clean and lovely. Hotel is very close to beach. We would like to come again in the next opportunity.
Beautiful, clean, family run property. Ideally placed to explore Kamari and everything Santorini has to offer. Nothing was too much trouble. From the front desk, bar/pool area and the emphasis on cleanliness, a wonderful place to stay
*****
Kamari is the nicest location for the beach, food and facilities from Santorini. The others cities with beach are not having the so much diversity for restaurant, places where you can stay at the beach etc
A really perfect quiet and nice place for holidays on Santorini. Thé Hotel is very clean and the staff very kind and friendly. And Kamari is a very quiet place
