it’s perfect.
it’s like a home from home, the family are the best. Anti, Maria, Sakis and Diego are so helpful, nothing a problem for them.
only problem.. Maria’s food is so good you will go up a size 😁

Was hard to leave with that view from the balcony! Eirini kindly arranged a taxi to collect us from our late ferry and warmly welcomed us to her home with drinks and lots of information on the island. House was perfect for our family with a large living area, kitchen, laundry, and 2 bedrooms (1x double, 1x twin) and a 3rd single in the hall. At Massuri Beach, which is a 5-10 min walk down steep steps, there are lots of tavernas and cafes as well as supermarkets. We enjoyed the ferry over to Telendos island for sunset and dinner and especially the quieter beach at Emborios, a lovely journey away on the bus, which stops right outside the house. There is a parking area outside the house if you hire a care.
Suite under the stars, a property with a garden, is set in Kalymnos, less than 1 km from Pothia Beach, a 13-minute walk from Paradise Nudist Beach, as well as 5.7 km from Castle of Kalymnos.

close to everything, bars (Rock bar in the beach, also the bar at Kantouni Beach Hotel is awesome), restaurants (try the homemade katsikaki in the restau left side on the street to Masouri before you leave town), bus stop, AB supermarket. nice greek neighbourhood, great bed, had a wonderful stay. and you have a small oven to make a pizza. warm up bread, croissants. you don't have this in many places. also a sandwich maker was there.
Amazing authentic, unpretentious island. So much good food and fresh fish available. Captured my heart. A car is best because there are some beautiful villages which are a must to visit whilst exploring this fabulous Greek island as Greek as it gets. Don’t forget to visit Telendos this is a must at least for a great lunch and the beach.

Kalymnos town itself is hot, busy and vibrant.
Kalymnos town itself is hot, busy and vibrant. It lacks the polish and charm of Kos town but offers a more authentic experience that's less touristy as a result.
It's worth hiring a car to explore the island as it's more attractive than the views from the main town suggest. The beach at Arginonta is worth a stop. Empiricos in the north is very sweet and the drive over the mountain pass to Palionnisos is worthwhile. The small port of Vathys is charming but best avoided at lunchtime when the tourist day trip boats from Kos descend en masse.

We had a short trip to the island, further shortened by the delayed ferry due to bad weather. There is so much to climb on Kalymnos that 1 week is barely enough to scratch the surface, although we did sample some excellent crags, Odyssey and Sea Breeze being particular favourites. So much choice and variety. We stayed in Elies in the interior which was 10 to 15 minutes from the main areas around Myrthies and Masaurie. In hindsight it would be better to stay there, although nowhere is more than 20 minutes drive it feels. Most people use scooters which is easiest to get around. There are some good places to eat in Myrthies but most were closed at the beginning of the season. Fatolitis in Masaurie definitely had the best salads. There was a limited number of vegan options in most places but that might have been partly due to the early season.

The island is very nice, there are beautiful trees all along the way from the port through the whole city. The city is interesting, it stretches in the valley, we haven't seen that in Greece. The island has a large population that lives all year round. The houses are very nice and big, with yards full of flowers. The food in the restaurants is very high quality. Kalimnos deserves a longer stay even for those of us who are not rock climbers.

3rd time in Kalymnos but first time i actualy stayed more than a day. This time 2 nights, 3 full days. It was part of Kos /Kalymnos/Athens trip.
9 nights in Kos, 2 nights in Kalymnos and 1 night is Athens.
We took 9.00AM ferry from Mastichari to Potia in Kalymnos, capital, 1hr trip because it was big ferry. Smaller ferry is faster and take only people, no cars. Big ferry was 7.50 euro so pretty cheap.
I ordered buggy online but guy came with small and old car, appologised, he had 1 buggy only and tourist gad some accident. Well he gave us good price for car, 20.00 euro per day, we didnt had a choice! Our booking was in Vlychadia, small village away from tourist spots and that was real HIT!! Problem was to get there, drivining in Potia is crazy. I thought Ponta Delgada in Azores has tiniest streets in the world but no, some of streets we drive in Potia were so tiny we had to fold mirrors to get through and our car was not bigger than Merc Smart !!!! Very challenging, my wife is witness how much i was swearing. Vlychadia and Kazonis studios were perfect, real greek holiday with local fishermens, super friendly people. we didnt really go anywhere else, we didnt want, we just enjoyed views, snoorkeling and fishing. Shopping in market is much more expensive than Kos, Kalymnos is one of the richest Greek Islands and you can tell this looking at houses, they all nice.
Airport - there is 1 plane a day from Kalymnos ! coming from Athens and returning to Athens, Airport i sclosed and open only 2 hours before departure, views are amazing!! it is on the top of mountain and take off is crazy, like the one in Nepal, dont remember airport name.

Great people, especially Georgios!
Great people, especially Georgios! I (23) was there with my aunt (60) and we both enjoyed the place. It was calm in the beginning of October and it felt like a perfect Greek vacation place. Better than Kos for sure, especially for people who are not in love with the jammed places.
Everything about our stay was great! The host was super communicative from when we booked our stay through when we checked out. She offered to pick us up from the ferry and drove us to the property, provided a small amount of groceries, and even brought us an traditional Greek meal. The location was amazing - 10-15-minute drive to most climbing areas on the island and just a 5-minute walk to a beach. Everything was in working order and very clean. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend this property!
We very much enjoyed our stay and the host was very helpful. The house is quiet and big enough for a small group with a large garden en living/kitchen area. Internet is also good enough for working which isn't always the case at Kalymnos. All the appliances and utensils are there to cook, do laundry etc.
You need a scooter to get around but it's not far from the restaurants (Massouri in less then 10 minutes) or climbing crags. Close to the bigger supermarket and away from all the noise in town. Would book again.
Location on the beach was excellent. Our time spent having breakfast and early evening drinks watching the sunset on the main terrace was great. The bed was comfortable indeed and the nespresso machine in the room was convenient for morning coffee looking at the view. The staff was very chill, friendly and nonchalant. The hotel beach bar offers free sun beds and an outdoor shower to rinse off before going to your room.
Our host was tremendous. She gave us numerous tips for travel and sight-seeing on the island, she also brought us some pastries unique to Kalymnos. The residence was superb. Very clean, comfortable and kitchen was well equipped. The location was central to the main village and the supermarket was only a 3 minute walk away. We thoroughly recommend this listing for anyone traveling to Kalymnos.
very large house + massive garden on 3 floors. Good internet (good enough for remote work), kitchen is perfect, has bbq :) very good location if u want to climb in the northern sectors of the island. Decent restaurants in Emporios. Walking access to one of the best wild beaches ive seen in Kalymnos. The house keeps cool even on very warm days. Mosquito nets everywhere!!
The host was absolutely amazing, extremely friendly and even surprised us with complementary soup on a rainy day. Beds are comfy, rooms have airco (both heating and cooling) you can control yourself. The central kitchen has all essential facilities and hot water is always available. Walking distance away from many major climbing crags, such as the iconic Grande Grotta.
The house is perfect, nicely decorated and had everything we needed during our 3 night stay in Pothia. The bed is heavenly and the jacuzzi under the stars is to die for! We were very sad to leave and if we come again to Kalymnos we will stay again here for sure.
The sunrise view here is outstanding! Just unbelievable. The room was large and well equipped. Eirini at reception was just so accommodating and very friendly, always eager to assist.
I don't think you'd get a better view on all of Kalymnos!!
Gorgeous setting, beautiful villa in the heart of Kalymnos… feels like an oasis. Apartments are beautiful and pool is gorgeous surrounded by flower bushes. Adonis and his son George are super friendly and helpful.
We will be back x
Simply amazing. The sunset view from our balcony was unforgettable. Friendly hosts, excellent location with a quick walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. Great base location for nearby climbing sites. Could not recommend more!
It was like being in a luxurious hotel combined with the cosiness of a house. And every detail was taken care of which made us feel very welcome. We also enjoyed the jacuzzi in the morning sun.
Nice and authentic property with a nice location in Kalymnos. We loved spending time by the pool when we were not exploring the island. The owner Anthoni was very helpful and friendly.
Very new hotel with modern facilities. Staff were lovely and very accommodating (even returned a package left in our room when we transferred to another section of the island).
It’s a luxury climbers hotel! Big suites, ocean view, beautiful pool. The staff is wonderful and the Restaurant was surprisingly delicious! We loved it!
