The Seasons of Nickolas, hotel in Ayia Evfimia

Located in the fishing village of Agia Efimia, The Seasons of Nickolas offer a sun terrace. They feature self-catering accommodation with mountain views. Free Wi-Fi access is available in all areas.

The property was a free standing house with two bedrooms, large living area and large veranda. The gardens were beautiful and included fresh fruit. It was an easy walk down to the port and we didn’t need to use the car during our stay. The host Aki was extremely helpful with getting us settled in and even bought us complementary meze one evening and ‘dessert of the spoon’ on our departure. Highly recommend this property.

Afrodite Spacious Apartments!, hotel in Ayia Evfimia

Just 120 metres from Agia Efimia Beach, Afrodite Spacious Apartments! offers air-conditioned studios with a furnished balcony surrounded by fruit trees and bougainvillea flowers.

Makis was very helpful, he met us at gone midnight after a late flight and taxi ride and made sure we got something to eat from the local bakery that was open that late! (Strawberry). He printed out all the local bus times for us and gave a lift to both Sami and the airport on the last day. The rooms were cleaned and freshened every single day bar one which was more than I expected, I think by makis wife? And makis brought back a load of waters for us from the supermarket in the next town and dropped them off in our rooms. The wifi was strong in my room and the balconies had lovely views of the mountains. Location was excellent a short walk to the village centre and beach whilst still feeling rural. Makis was always available and helpful on Whatsapp if not in the office. It was more spacious than I imagined and had everything you could need to be self-sufficient.

A small but lovely village with several amazing bakeries (...

A small but lovely village with several amazing bakeries (especially daily art with the nicest people) and strawberry bakery (open til gone midnight!). The beaches are pleasant, with white pebbles and blue sea. Very small mind, one being almost an alcove so can only accommodate small numbers of people before feeling too crowded. There are also several taverna's and a couple of gift shops too, one of which I can't remember the name of but the woman serving was a delight. It was in good distance to pretty much everything on the island really worth seeing if you haven't got a rental car; antisamos beach €30 taxi, myrtos Beach €3.60 buses, melissani cave lake €15, assos €3.60 buses (same as the ones to myrtos Beach, a bus from the village centre €1 then a minibus picks you up for €2.60 to get to both places).(all prices are lowest we could find, all single journeys). Sami is next town along but not as good as ayia effimia in my opinion. Felt like a very safe welcoming village with a good amount of ruralness, nestled in the lush green mountains of kefalonia with ample hiking trails and a bicycle hire in Sami. We ate at a taverna called the local but it didn't meet our expectations as the food wasn't amazing. Something to consider if visiting antisamos beach (scene from captain correlis mandolin) is getting to Sami for €15 then walking around the mountains, about an hours walk, to the beach on the other side. Mind the cars, but it smells of pine and has incredible views. It also saves a €30 round trip! Finally, the whole of kefalonia have so many cats, so many will come and give fuss 😺

A good place to stay at. Quiet with everything you need. Make sure you get a car and do the rounds of nearby beaches and villages. Shop local groceries and try out local bakery produce. The local- a good restaurant, El cielo- a good bar. Bakeries: Daily art and stawberry- wonderful. Cheerful people, peaceful environment and crickets at night.

It was a good base to explore the island.

It was a good base to explore the island. There are plenty of food options in the main port area and beyond along the coast. Short drive to Sami. I recommend Mirtos beach if you don’t have a fear of heights on the drive and walk down. It gets busy so bring your own umbrella and beach mat. Luckily the waterside appartments provide for free to use. Take the the drive to Agrostolion. Worth visiting the Pattiserie on the seafront. Be careful on the roads and let people pass at safe locations. The roads can be a little terrifying in places.

Our stay at Fotini was absolutely delightful. The view from the property is absolutely exquisite. The accommodations were exactly what we needed for our stay; clean, comfortable and well equipped. Niko, the proprietor was friendly, helpful and very accommodating; even giving us many food items for our meals. Agia Effimia is a pretty seaside village with great restaurants, cafes and amenities. We ate at the Paradise restaurant, not far from the pension and the views were amazing. We would most certainly return to Fotini in the future.

This hotel is a hidden gem of Agia Efimia. First of all, the hotel has the central location and has a nice view on the mountains, is close to the beach, bus stop, shops, restaurants and is on a guiet street at the same time. It is spacious, the staff is very professional, but also friendly, helpfull and nice. The hotel is very clean, spacious, offers lovely breakfast and has comfortable rooms. We have met guests who returns here and once we will plan our trip again we will definitely come to this hotel again.

The apartment is big and comfortable enough for two people. The position is excellent, perfect for a walk around Agia (restaurants, supermarkets, bars...) and for reaching the best beaches of Kefalonia, but at the same time very quiet at night. There's no private parking, but even in August we had no problem with parking the car close to the apartment. The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming (and speak perfect Italian!)

The staff who run Pelagia’s were really accommodating and sweet, letting me into the apartment early which was a huge help after an early ferry to Kefalonia. The studio apartment was small but had two balconies, if you’re a two and need a bit of your own space! The location is brilliant, very central in Agia and a few seconds walk from the bakeries, supermarkets and cafes. It was surprisingly quiet at night too.

Great hotel, beautiful view of the bay from the balcony (especially moon rise and moonlight over the bay-so romantic!), outstanding breakfast, great staff. Shoutout to the handsome guy at the reception desk who made us smile every day. The hotel is not luxurious but it has absolutely everything you may need. Easy to find parking on the street or in one of the free city parking lots. It’s right downtown.

The room was meticulously clean and big, including a huge comfy bed. The views from the balcony were lovely and the location was very central in Agia Efimia, close to plenty of restaurants and a small "beach" to finish the day off with a swim. Despite a few dislikes mentioned below, overall we had a great stay in this lovely little hotel in a cute little seaside village.

Our stay at Fotini was very good, the property is situated high on the hill in Agia Efimia and offers amazing views over the bay and over to Ithaca. The room was very clean and excellent size with a fully equipped kitchen. The bathroom was also a great size with a nice shower. Towels and bedding was changed every second day which was great.

Good location near town of Ag Efthimia (about a 10 min walk to port/restaurants). This is not like a hotel or airbnb so keep in mind the accommodations are basic and you will need to buy/bring your own hand soap, shampoo, etc. Towels were changed every 3 days.
