I arrived late at night via KTEL from the ferry in Gavrion. I got lost in the neighborhood trying to find it. I called and Mr. Karaoulanis came immediately with his car and picked me up. The service was excellent, beyond expectations. When I checked out, I accidentally left a shirt behind. Again, Mr. Karaoulanis ensured I got it. I intend to return in the future. I highly recommend it. I know Greece well and can say this service with honesty and with a smile is rare, the best I've seen. I appreciated it.

Beautiful town but too small, the amenities and shops were all in one street. It’s a very safe place, especially if you go with children but there isn’t much to do. Unless you just want to unwind or go hiking I wouldn’t go to this island.

It is close , you can get there with the fast ferry from Rafina in just over an hour. Teh island ahs a big tradition in shipping an dthe ship owners have kept Chora in a charming state. You have batsi if you want some more action but otherwise the small villages are nice an dfar from the extremely busy islands like Paros, Mykonos etc. Prices were high but nothing insane. It gets crouded too in mid August. Although an aegean island it has lots of waters and at least 2 hiking destinations with waterfall etc. Some monasteries to visit. Before you leave dont miss buying a box of amygdalota (almond sweets covered in powder sugar , local delicacy). Some of the beaches are hard to access but offer an amazing view.

Beautiful island amazing beaches amazing people the roads are a bit TIGHT for two cars to pass in the villages beaches are 20 to 55 min from Chora Andros…There are beaches to just set your towel down with bringing your own food and drinks and then there are beaches that have all the amenities like beach lounges with umbrellas which were at $15 euro a set and they are equipped with beach bars that serve amazing drinks and good ….Chora Andros is beautiful during the day and very busy at night it could use some more restaurants and clothing shops thry hage but most of them are outdated !!!! You must make a reservation in Chora restaurants as they become full and can’t accommodate you for dinner I don’t know about other months but August is a very busy time it has a lot of tourism…

Great island.
Great island.
Not too touristic so the prices are quite low and it's quiet on the one hand and on the other there are not many places to party.
But there are beautiful beaches with easy access by car (regular, no need for 4x4)
People are very nice anywhere we went.
Definitely recommending this island for an easy relaxing vacation
Hosts were very friendly and helpful. They helped with every aspect of our visit (places to see, things to do, places to eat, etc...) The breakfast was very nice (with some variation day to day). It appeared to be made from scratch on the premises. The location is on the main street (closed to cars) in the old town with lots of stores and restaurants within walking distance. It is charming. The hotel is in a historic building and beautifully restored/decorated.
We stayed at Small Paradise at the start of a two week holiday in Andros and were so happy with this as our introduction to the island. The hotel is in a beautiful, peaceful location, right on the edge of Chora. Kostas the owner is a truly lovely human and all of the food he grows and serves is such a treat. He told us lots about the island and gave us helpful tips on where to visit. This really is a special place that we would love to return.
Amazing apartment in the heart of Andros Town. The apartment has a very spacious terrace overlooking the bay and with views of the citadel ruins.
The bedroom is decently sized with a very comfy bed, there is also a smaller bedroom with a 1 person bed and a foldable sofa.
A/C worked great, kitchen is well equipped including a Nespresso machine with a few complimentary pods.
Bathroom is huge, with double shower and double sinks.
The room was very comfortable and well laid out with incredible attention to detail. The staff were so attentive and made our stay feel really special. The staff were really caring and clearly love looking after guests and helping with bookings for restaurants, taxis etc We visited Andros without a car and were able to get everywhere by taxi and walking. We would not hesitate to recommend this outstanding establishment
Very friendly host. Very close to Chora (8min). Very nice decoration. Comfortable bed. Fully equipped kitchen. Laundry machine was very handy. Very quiet neighbourhood. Nespresso machine with 2 coffee capsules for the next morning. Nice basket with raki made from the owner, loukoumia, pasteli and appricot jam. No need for aircondition or fun (not included in the property) as the house stays cool because of the stone.
The studio was clean, well-equipped, and has a good location, i.e. right across the road from the beach, with a supermarket right next door, places to eat along the same stretch of road and is within walking distance to the center. Most of all, the host was very accommodating to a family with a baby and we appreciate the nice gesture very much.
Very nice, clean, new-ish hotel on the outer edges of Chora, easy walking distance to the main areas. We got engaged shortly before our stay and the hotel greeted us with a lovely card and some little treats. Throughout our stay, staff was knowledgeable, helpful, and available. The view from our room was incredible and matched the photos.
- Nikos, one of the owners, went above and beyond in order to make our stay a great experience.
- All the owners & staff we met were friendly
- The location & view are superb, especially if you consider the class of the hotel. You shouldn't compare it with a 4 of 5 star hotel, yet the location is such.
Excellent location with breathtaking view on the bay, impeccably clean and comfortable room (air condition units in both bedroom and living room), and accomodating hosts\employees that cared to all our needs. Was also allowed to check in earlier and thus enjoy the sea opposite the hotel straight away.
The hotel was in a lovely location on the mountain right by a fresh water spring. Inside was full of character and very clean. The dining room had two separate outside areas one overlooking the sea and another large garden courtyard. We enjoyed the pool area which was kept very clean and tidy.
The breakfast was excellent, and being able to go out and eat outdoors was lovely. The ceilings were high and beautifully painted in the common area. Best of all was the woman who greeted us when we arrived and gave us her lovely smile every morning afterward. She was amazingly helpful!
- Excellent people, hospitable, professional and quick to respond in any communication
- Very nice spacious home with an overwhelming history. Some days you can hear the waves of the sea during the night.
- Very clean and comfortable
- Ample parking space
Room upgraded on arrival. Quiet location 5 minutes walk from the centre. Clean and very comfy, good beds. Drink making facilities and fridge. Excellent breakfast. Small pool. Friendly family run hotel with advice on what to do and see. Recommended.
Room exhaling eclectic minimalism. Exceptional breakfast based on fresh local produce. Warm welcome by the ubiquitous (in terms of offering help) owner. Perfect for couples seeking serenity through nature.
The location, the facilities, the staff were of a 5 star hotel criteria, hosted in an excellent taste traditional, fully renovated Andros neoclassic building
