The staff is kind and friendly. Hotel was clean. We stayed in executive suit 603. The room was with seaview and had a private pool in front. Especially during night it is pleasant to sit by the private pool. The open buffet breakfast was sufficient. The hotel has a long beach with an easy access and the sea is nice. They have free parking place for your car. It is around 600-700 meters to the tavernas and coastal walking road. You don't have to take your car. The hotel is settled in a huge area. One side of the hotel fronts to the sea and the other side to the pine trees. They have kettle, free water, coffee and tea in the room.

Amazing city - pleasant walks next to the sea, great views, nightlife, delicious food. Restaurants to visit - Zourafa, for amazing sea food, Λούκουλος - with tables next to the sea. You need to make reservations.
Parking is difficult in the center, need to use a paid parking place. You can take a walk on the Apolloniados street that gets closed for cars in the evening.

I guess it is the right city for beach vacations. Not much to do If you are looking for historical attractions I would not rate Alexanroupoli high. It has a few very small museums. Two of them I've visited. It is possible to walk to them. One at the city center ethnography museum. I'd recommend visiting. It won't take a lot of time, but the atmosphere there is nice.
Also, there is a small archeological museum, something like 2,5 km away from the center.
The local tavernas has a tasty food. the prices are reasonable.
The beaches are slightly out of the city, but not too far. Nice sand

A great place for beach life and to explore the area, take a trip off the main drag and explore the mountains and plains for the area , its was busy in the centre off season, prepare for crowds when the summer hits. restaurants in the area are hit and miss with prices around 30 euro for two for a very basic meal ,without alcohol in 2023, want fish or seafood then add a lot more. I cant believe they are still charging 2-3 euro for a small portion of bread which seems to be mandatory, english not spoken everywhere, bring your phase book. easy access to islands if you can find a place to book your ferry.
The apartments are located very close to the sea - the beach is about 50 meters from the hotel. There is no roads to cross while you are going to the beach from the hotel, so it is a good place to stay for a summer holiday. The hotel is located out of Alexandroupolis, and a distance to the city center is about 3 km. Also, the apartments have a free parking. Lidl supermarket is very close, about 100 m. The owner is a very nice guy, always open to help. Write to him at any time, and you will give an answer in few minutes.
Petros is a great and helpful guy. The house itself is small, but cozy and nice, suitable for a family with a toddler. We loved the proximity to the beach ( 5 mins walk), the garden and the tranquility of the neighborhood ( we also loved the next door neighbors, a very nice and friendly old couple). The beach is clear and clean, with only a few rocks near the entrance, quiet and not crowded at all. Alexandroupolis is just 10mins drive away. Overall we liked it and would go back again.
This Hotel has a perfect location in just a couple of minutes walk from the town center, the beach and some best tavernas in the town. Breakfast is perfect too for a 2-Star Hotel. Balcony with a coffee table and chairs is lovely and give you a good chance to relax. But most of all we appreciated the help at the reception with parking our car at the Hotel guests parking space. Generally, the Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is right on the beach with free beach facilities. Wonderful and smiling staff always ready to help! There is also a full bar and grill servicing the beach so you can order on the spot!!! The location is great, very close to the city center (20min walking - 5min by car). Dikella and Makri beaches are a 10-15 min car ride away but very worth going to as they are spectacular beaches.
We stayed for 1 night before moving to Thessaloniki. The hotel was partially empty. Since it was not the sea season yet, we spent time sitting peacefully on the beach. I'm sure it's a great environment in the summer. It was literally an Aegean town hotel. It had a bit of a nostalgic atmosphere, but I think it would be very good for those who want to go on holiday with children.
The apartment is very nice and cozy and has everything you might need, beeing in a vacation. It was spoteless clean!.

We spent two nights at this wonderful Hotel. I can say that the beds and all the accessories in the room are close to a 5 star hotel. Easy access to the city, Lidl store just around the corner. Decent breakfast, free parking, impeccable cleanliness both in the room and throughout the hotel. I recommend Thalassa with confidence!
Well its hotel in town on sea beach in greece. Spacious apartment with logia, full kitchen, very nice bathroom, elevator. Beach is approx. 3 km away. Everythis was functional, no complains, no surprises. Located in middle of town, many restauratns and shops around. We got parking places for motorcycles right before reception.
There were wildfires in Alexandroupoli during our stay. So we had to leave after one night. We didn't see very much. Nevertheless thanks to hotel managent; they promised future accommodation instead of unused reservation.
By the way, hotel has perfect location, big car park, nice beach. Hope to be there again.
Tiny and cozy hotel in the heart of the city, clean bathroom and room. Great view. Walking distance to beaches and major sightseeing. Great match money vs service. If you come with a car you can park in front of the hotel if a place is available or in a nearby parking place. 10 eur = 24 hours.
The hotel is located very near to the center of the city but is still quiet rather than being right on a noisy street. The rates have gone up in recent years here but they are generally fair. It is nice to have someone at the desk all the time as many places are going towards key boxes.
