Greeted by Julian who made us feel very welcome. The property has been beautifully restored and modernised and has spectacular views. Our room could have done with one more lounge chair but was very clean and really did have all we needed for our overnight stay. Bed was very comfortable with lovely linen. Wifi was amazing and Julian even offered me the dining room for more room to do some work on my computer. Breakfast was perfect and delicious and served by John who went the extra mile to ensure we had all we needed. Thank you both.

Warm welcome. Great location. Excellent & clean facilities. Spacious rooms with lockers. Breakfast available at verg reasonable price & time. Highly recommended.
I just love Ullapool and the surrounding area. So much to see and do, and stunning scenery in all directions. Walking along the front and watching the harbour activity. Climbing the Ullapool Hill (about 1,200 feet) immediately to the north of the village. The golf course. The Geopark on the road to Kylesku, The Corrieshalloch Gorge, the Beinn Dearg group of mountains, An Teallach, one of Scotland's most beautiful mountains. The Sutherland Hills.
Breakfast at the Caledonian Hotel, dinner at The Ceilidh Place.
It's very easy to walk around Ullapool.
There's nothing I would avoid

Cute seaside village... great pubs and restaurants... we ate at the Seaforth and had a wonderful meal. Also in the morning we had a perfect breakfast at the Bothy Cafe just a block from the ferry terminal. We just loved Ullapool.

We were only going to Stornoway for a day trip , bird watching there and back so we didn't do much in Ullapool. We did not book dinner in the hotel and were unable to eat there as a result. We went done the town and had the same problem and ended up getting a fish supper, so if you are planning eating in the town book ahead to avoid disappointment. The fish supper was very good by the way.

It seems like a nice little town - it has a beautiful loch and some nice stores. There is a cute little sidewalk cafe, called "Tea on the Wall" They have very good carrot cake. Ullapool is a dog friendly town - they put out bowls of water for the pups.
The location was okay, with a 15 minute walk into Ullapool. Ullapool itself was rather uninviting, perhaps due to roadworks on the main road, very overpriced e.g £19.99 for fish and chips.
The hotel was very clean and the duvet was particularly soft and comfortable. There was lots of choices of teas and coffees in the room and welcome treats.
It has a great location looking out across the Ullapool harbour to the mountains beyond We were able to park right outside the hotel. Check-in at the bar was quick with helpful staff. The room was clean and comfortable. It was quiet after the bar closed at 11pm. Good wifi. A healthy breakfast was included in the price.
A friendly, clean, cosy and well-located hotel serving a hearty breakfast. The harbour is just down the road (I also recommend the excellent fish 'n' chip shop), Would definitely book again if I return to Ullapool.
Very well situated in centre of Ullapool with views of Loch from the bedroom window. Nice and quiet too.
Service was fine.
Didn't have dinner in the hotel so can't comment on that.
