We had two rooms, the first was fine but the second had a bad smell. The manager dealt with the problem quickly and professionally and provided us with an exceptionally good alternative. We were extremely pleased with how things turned out.

Lovely little hotel. The rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed. The lady who greeted us was very friendly. The area is very peaceful and pretty with a little stream in the beer garden by the carpark.
The Loch Ness Country House Hotel offers excellent food and elegant rooms. It is a striking Georgian building in 6 acres of gardens, 3 km from Inverness city centre.

Reception and checking-in were fine. We booked a cottage which was just a 1 min drive away. First impressions were good as it's clean and quiet as it's separate from the main hotel. The only gripe was that we asked for a walk-in shower as one of my party had mobility issues. That was sorted but I didn't realise that the main bedroom was upstairs and the bathroom was downstairs which defeated the point of having a walk-in shower. The stairs were carpeted etc but a tad on the steep side. It caused us an issue but as it was only 1 night, it wasn't a disaster just a pain.
On the positive side, it's a gorgeous cottage.
We had dinner the hotel which was very nice albeit expensive for Inverness (roughly 100 a head)
Would I stay again? yes but maybe the cottage next door if it has no stairs.
We are thrilled to announce that Rocpool Reserve Luxury Highland Package is undergoing refurbishment and will reopen its doors on April 1, 2024, as an exquisite, exclusive residents-only hotel.
