The location was excellent for our holiday . The manager was helpful and resolved one issue very promptly when I got to see her. The restaurant manager was aprochable and welcomed our comments and complaints , thanking us for bringing them to his attention and acknowledging there was an issue to be dealt with. Some of the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The hotel was clean .
I understand the hotel has recently had new ownership , hopefully, they will make the necessary changes. As it's a lovely old building with lots of original features.
Meals were greatly improved, provided they
hadn't run out of things.

Good food and good selection at fairly reasonable prices (was expecting it to be more expensive). Enjoyed the breakfast which was a combination of self service and waitress/waiter. Staff really helpful and friendly.
Room overlooked the carpark and main street so was little noisy at times but this did disappear after 11:00pm.
Excellent location for sightseeing. We travelled west and north to popular sightseeing locations and also found many wonderful places by chance along the way. Very peaceful and scenic, everyone we met very friendly and welcoming.
