Well provided village given its size. For hillwalking all the local peaks are accessible but only two wholly on foot. The others need a car or an overnight and some of the minor roads are challenging in such a remote location.

Didn't like · The reception was very modest, and with the 3rd sentence I was already asked to pay for my stay in advance.
The room, called SUNART Suite, was not worth the price.
It was practically unheated, the radiators could not be operated. In all other hotels on this trip it was possible. Then after a few hours the heaters warmed up to a lukewarm state, but only for a short time. The heated towel rail in the bathroom only worked in the bottom third and could not be used. In order to go to the dining room, you had to leave the main building so that you could get to the restaurant.
I can describe the food as very good.
In this part, too, it was rather uncomfortably cold until the window was closed after complaints from some guests.

Strontian is so well placed for visiting this beautiful area of Scotland. It’s at the head of the quiet Ardnamuchan peninsula and within a short drive from iconic places such as Fort William and Mallaig. The area is simply wonderful for wildlife enthusiasts who want a relaxing, peaceful and mindful experience.

Lots to do in Strontian.
Lots to do in Strontian. Good walks in Ariundle forest reserve, plus swimming in the Strontian river there. Beaches on the loch for swimming and boating. It looked as if there was some lovely mountain walking but we weren't there long enough. Kilcamb hotel very nice for dinner.
Great B&B
in the middle of the hills above Strontian. The area around is beautiful and quiet.
Paul was a great host and made us directly feel at home. He helped us with ideas to visit around.
The house is beautifully equipped.
Breakfast was delicious with various choice of conventional and vegetarian options.
Very clean, nice airy room, excellent bathroom with modern shower and enough space, quiet neighbourhood, tasty breakfast, very good restaurant in Strontian. Location is good to travel to either Fort William/ Glencoe region or towards Isle of Skye, beautiful area with lots of Lochs and Glens
Beautiful location and Graham the owner was the host with the most! Nothing was ever too much, and he was a pleasure to be with. The location is stunning, and we spent 3 days exploring Ardnamurchan, and then returning to the hotel for dinner. Will certainly stay there again.
Very friendly and welcoming hosts who went out of their way to make us comfortable. Also really helpful about what to see and do in the Strontian area.
