The check in/check out process was easy, parking is at the retail park next to the hotel, there are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets near by. Our room was very clean and enough space for family of 3 with 1 dog. Friendly hotel staff.

We stayed in the Strathaven as a stop-off between the Scottish Highlands and Yorkshire on a very cold snowy night. The hotel was busy with a Christmas function and other diners but the welcome was attentive and very friendly.
The room was warm and welcoming and a very good standard for staying with our dog. We had room service which was lovely and a great early breakfast. The staff were really chatty and helpful.
A very good choice.

Certainly a worth while place to stay.
Certainly a worth while place to stay. However, the impersonal approach I felt was rather unwelcome for a B&B. If you wish to present yourself as a B&B, it is my assumption there is a personal approach and personal touch to it. Not in this case. I regard this as a missed opportunity.

Great value, lovely food, not pretentious. Well cooked.
Great value, lovely food, not pretentious. Well cooked. I could have done with a bit more toast with the liver parfait, but actually it was probably enough! Service was particularly worth an accolade. Very friendly.

Taal Restaurant.
Taal Restaurant. We ate there two nights and the food was superb. A pleasant area to walk around. Exploring Strathaven further it’s a much pleasanter and interesting place than on arrival. Next visit we will explore a little further.
Great location based on our trip. Hotel staff attentive & welcoming. Restaurant, bar & outdoor areas modern & clean. Waiting staff mostly excellent with good menu choice. Wedding party added to a great atmosphere and added to our experience. Room was a single so ‘snug’ but perfectly acceptable. En-suite was well appointed & modern. Would recommend this hotel for the price & facilities.
My whole stay was comfortable with everything provided in the spacious bedroom The breakfast was excellent and was served at 7.30am as I needed an early start. The location is also great with open countryside all around - yet very handy for the town of Strathaven with all its attractions.
Just cannot fault Bamflatt Farm Bed & Breakfast - usually if I travel on my own I get a small room, not here I was in large spacious room. Staff very welcoming and helpful and breakfast was exceptionally good. Now wouldn’t consider anywhere else to stay when up in Strathaven.
Open the doors on the lodge and the view is private, not overlooked and absolutely stunning over a valley with a river at the bottom. nice to support a small business rather than a big hotel chain…! set in 22 acres - just stunning.
I stay at the property a lot and as normal the staff are excellent. The Restaurant and Bar area are superb.
If you are staying in or around the town of Strathaven I would thoroughly recommend the Strathaven Hotel.
Fantastic staff and lovely setting for this hotel. Really enjoyed our stay here. Arrived late for dinner...and restaurant should have been closed but the staff accommodated us and we got offered full menu
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the setting of the hotel is wonderful especially on a lovely sunny day.
The food at the wedding and the breakfast in the morning was excellent.
Lovely hotel nice room ,staff friendly, Morgan on reception gave me and my wife a lift into Strahvaven town centre and picked us up again, great service would stay here again.
Fantastic place to stay with well-appointed, clean rooms and a great host. The breakfast service was excellent. A really great alternative to chain hotels.
