Lovely room, very clean. Staff were more than accommodating with dietary needs and requests for extras of stuff.
Grounds are lovely and made for a beautiful after dinner walk up to the Wallace Memorial.
TV worked, apps available for streaming TV. Bathroom very clean, room smelt nice on entrance.
Very reasonably priced.
Would definitely visit again.

The bus system is a little tricky for foreigners. The town seemed to have a lot of litter all around town. We did have a great time at Stirling Castle, The William Wallace Pub, and an excellent dinner at Corrieri's though. The scenery from the castle is breathtaking.

The William Wallace is a hostel.
The William Wallace is a hostel. And should not be described as a hotel. As my wife and I are in our 80s we found the long stairs challenging. We found somewhere else to stay for the second night. Therefore I expect a refund of at least 50% of the amount we paid

Lovely town! We were sorry to be here for only one night.
Lovely town! We were sorry to be here for only one night. We should have stayed two, as there were a few other attractions that we did not get to see. We loved the castle, Church of the Holy Rude and the cemetery.

Stirling exceeded our expectations. It was rich in history.
Stirling exceeded our expectations. It was rich in history. The locals were very friendly and helpful. There was a wide variety of restaurant options. Even the thrift stores were top notch. There were several options to enjoy entertainment. We highly recommend the Settle Inn (on St. Mary’s Wynd) the oldest ale house in town (300+yrs). We were very moved by the traditional folk music performed by the locals. We also recommend joining in on one of the free guided tours in the Castle. It’s a great way to get to know the gossip of the royals and renegades.

There is so much to see and to absorb if you love history...
There is so much to see and to absorb if you love history and want to know where your ancestors came from. Essential: talk to people wherever you go. There is so much to learn from those who staff the historic sites! Dee and Trisha were great sources of info. See Holy
Rude Church and the connected graveyard. Wow! Always ask for the hidden or less seen places. The Stirling Smith Art Gallery and Museum is a quirky gem. (It has the oldest known football.) Things to remember: walking is great, but challenging. Taking a taxi sometimes makes you miss some of the things, however, like going through the graveyard at Holy Rude.

A wonderful stay!! The flat was very clean and modern. The beds were very comfortable, wifi was fast, full kitchen which was well stocked with cooking pans/utensils and full size refrigerator. Nice to have a washer & dryer while on vacation. And also nice to have three bathrooms and three floors for privacy.
Excellent location for exploring Stirling, St. Andrews, The Kelpies and Perth. Absolutely no complaints or suggestions for improvements. Thank you. If in the area again, we would definitely stay here.
Castlecroft has an excellent location with a pleasant walk into the city centre and easy access to the castle. It is close to the main routes into Stirling and easy to find.
Laura is a really charming and helpful host. She serves a terrific breakfast with good choice. Her recommendations for places to eat were appreciated.
We had our own small patio outside- a lovely feature
Parking at the B&B is straightforward and really useful.
Soundproofing between rooms was excellent- it was very quiet.
perfect position being in the midst of Stirling and close to all the history but not I. the busyness of it all. terrific room. staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful. didn’t have food or beverages there but the areas were beautifully presented. they had a party the night I was there which was right next to my room and therefore very loud - great music, happy group - and they stopped at 11. guests were nicely asked to respect the others staying in the hotel which they did. quite impressive
The location was very nice, central to Stirling and an easy walk to many tourist spots like the Castle, pubs, restaurants, etc. The apartment we rented was spacious - two large bedrooms, and a good size living area with kitchen. There was also a parking not behind the hotel that we used, but be aware it's 2 hour parking between 8 am - 6 pm.
Quick and easy check in, room was well cleaned and stocked. Had a room at the front of the hotel though had no issues with noise despite keeping the window open through the night. Short walk to the city centre too which is ideal as you have the ability to enjoy Stirling but not worry about the noise from revellers.
Stayed there 2 nights at the opposite end of a trip in another part of Scotland. Breakfast was good. Staff were great. The wifi on my 2nd night barely r were ogled so Nick gave me a free coffee and pastry the next day.
They also stored my luggage while I visited the castle.
Close to everything in Stirling.
Friendly & Welcoming staff, good selection provided at buffet breakfast, hotel situated in town centre, so close to amenities & transport links, Been here in the past, and will return to this hotel in the future. Will recommend hotel to anyone who wishes to visit Stirling. Well done team Golden Lion 🤗
Friendly staff in a comfortable hotel. The hotel was a short walk (though steep at times) to both the centre of Stirling and Stirling Castle. (Castle is well worth a visit). The breakfast was very good although buffet style (not served to table - perhaps Covid related). The dinner was excellent.
Staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful at all times
Room very clean and beds comfy. Plenty of free parking. Very close to an excellent bar and grill. Not far from Stirling City centre and plenty to see and do in area. Also close to morrisons for fuel and munchies and wine for room.
large comfortable room with a comfy bed. The breakfast was lovely, something to suit everyone and the restaurant was beautiful.
We were attending a show at the Macroberts art centre so the hotel was in an ideal location and also not far from Stirling city centre
The room was comfy, very good value for money. The place is very clean and tidy. Breakfast is full, good, and not expensive at all for what you get. The area is quiet and accessible to Stirling, Loch Lomond area, and Perthshire towards St. Andrews.
Friendly staff, especially Tracy, who served us with our delicious evening meal. Check-in was quick and easy. lovely self-serve breakfast and comfortable and large room. The hotel was roughly a 7 minute drive to Stirling castle.
The lets are on farmland on the outskirts of Stirling . Really peaceful area with bus stop 1 minutes walk away to take you into Stirling City Centre. (5 min ride). Very friendly staff. Highly recommended.
Very cheap and affordable. Very clean and has a very nice vibe would recommend if you are visiting the Stirling area. Not far from the city center about a 10 min drive
