If you want a beach holiday with rocky walks and scenery thrown in then this is a good place. Easy bus ride away (two an hour) is the Giant’s Causeway. The helpful tourist office in the town hall has timetables and can tell you where the bus stop is as it’s located in an odd place.
Not so much to do in wet weather conditions but good places to eat that had plenty of room.

Great area to explore plenty to do for kids and lovely beaches. Lots of options for food and plenty of places to walk and explore. Just a pity the weather wasn’t great when we were there but still enjoyed it!

Lovely town on the North Coast to base yourself for all the excursions around. Fantastic beaches and plenty of good food places. Weather can change at a moments notice with sun, rain and the wrath of the Atlantic all in a day, come prepared. If you golf there are excellent golf courses.

As long as weather is good there is no better place to be than at Portrush. The beaches the food the pubs all great and the people always make you welcome.
General shopping would be limited however, but in reality when you go to portrush your not really wanting to shop.

I scheduled in Portrush because of a visit to Giants Causeway. I was pleasantly surprised with the city. It is a very clean upscale beach town. My only regret is not realizing The Harbour bar was also a restaurant. We did end up eating in a more trendy "European" restaurant and did not discover Harbour Bar until after dinner. As a traveler from the US, I would have preferred the old friendly feeling to The Harbour Bar and wish it popped up in a search for restaurants on Google.

A familu friendly place and very welcoming.
A familu friendly place and very welcoming. Plenty to do, with the beach, currys amusements and shops and cafes. The Jet centre and the giants causeway was a short drive and portstewart close by. Lovely place.
This property is great to stay at. Great location to portrush, we just walked into town. Free parking. Rooms were clean and comfortable, has everything you need. Shower pressure was fine and nice and hot. Breakfast here is great, they had cereal, oats, fruit, loads of bread types, pastries, sandwich ingredients. This place felt like great value for money! It was entirely self-check in so we didn’t have to interact with anyone (which we prefer!)
The B&B has a wonderful view of the ocean and Portrush beach. Huge outside deck with chairs and tables. Easily walkable to shops and restaurants. Our hosts were friendly and the breakfasts were cooked to order and delicious with lots to choose from. Diann and Kieran were so helpful in assisting us with finding the address of family that lived in Portrush in the early 1900’s. It was a wonderful place to stay. Very updated and comfortable.
The living area of the apartment was very comfortable with lots of seating and a huge window looking out to the golf course. It was easy to cook in the kitchen and there was a grocery store nearby. Parking available . Beautiful beach and many restaurants within walking distance. The owner was very nice and was exceptionallly helpful when we locked ourselves out of the apartment.
the all round feel of the hotel was relaxed staff could not do enough to help ,the bar area was good with an outside terrace seating area if only we had some sun ,the rooms are amazing fitted out with good quality furniture with a small fridge, coffee maker and kettle ,the bed was excellent had a great night sleep can honestly say one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in portrush.
The apartment is centrally located with plenty of parking in the area. This was our second time staying at this apartment and we could not fault it. So clean and spacious, perfect for a weekend trip away! Check in was easy and Matthew was helpful and accommodating. We will definitely book again and would recommend to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in Portrush 😊
The room was very large with a wonderful view of the Portrush Beach. It was well furnished with places to put our belongings comfortably. Breakfast was delicious and service impeccable.
Our hosts, Anna and Benjamin were lovely, we enjoyed our chats with them. If course they knew the area well so could readily answer our questions and steer us in the right direction.
Hosts so friendly and welcoming. Fantastic facilities and spotlessly clean. Felt so at home and completely relaxed. Fabulous breakfast. Views from balcony lovely and just 10 minutes walk from Portrush. Will definitely be booking again. Full marks in every aspect and much better than a lot of hotels we've stayed in. Thankyou Diane and Kieran
Kieran was a very pleasant host
The property is very close to the centre of portrush. The guesthouse was quiet and clean, which is just what we wanted.
Due to COVID-19, they hadn’t been offering breakfast. However, they were offering breakfast at the nearby Quays Hotel, which was both a surprise and a lovely breakfast.
The staff were very friendly and the breakfast excellent. We were a family who booked 3 rooms and we were all together and the rooms very comfortable and cosy with great views of Portrush and you could see the sea in the distance. There were plenty of parking spaces and nice seating areas around the hotel.
You get a lot for the money. Very central location, perfect to walk to the beautiful beach, getting a drink at local pub or having a delicious dinner. Portrush hotel has a very friendly staff, free cooked breakfast was absolutely fabulous... i recommend the experience...will defo be back!
An absolute gem. Not far from Portrush centre, this small hotel/ boarding house offered easy parking, a well- appointed room which was quiet and with a blackout blind we slept very well. The owner Jennifer was charming and very helpful and the breakfast choices and quality were superb
We have stayed in this house every time we come to portrush. It's like our second home and it's so close to town shops and beach. It has everything you need . We would highly recommend this house to anyone that is staying down at portrush amazing house with amazing owners 🤩
Lovely hotel spotless clean gorgeous breakfast nothing was too much for staff set in a perfect location in Portrush with a beautiful view of the Atlantic you can even hear the waves crashing when in your room we will definitely be back 😀 Thank you for a lovely stay xx
I had a mix up with the hotel I was supposed to spend a couple nights fell through so at the last minute I booked my room here and it couldn’t have lovelier. the host was accommodating and gave me a lovely sea view room, and cooked a delicious breakfast in the morning
Just love where the royal court hotel is situated, beautiful scenery, lovely stroll down to the beach.
Food is off excellent quality, with a good choice .
Bedrooms are beautifully decorated, with a very comfortable bed.
All the staff are friendly and helpful.
Very quiet! People were staying there but either the rooms are well insulated or the patrons are well behaved. Location is right on the causeway highway and the bus stops right outside the hotel.
